For sample cast on 21 (7x3= 21)

Multiple of 7 sts

Row 1:   wrong side purl across.

Rows 2 and 7:      * K 6, p 1; repeat from * to end.

Rows 3 and 6:      * K 2, p 5; repeat from * to end.

Rows 4 and 5:      * K 4, p 3; repeat from * to end.

Rows 8 and 13:    * K 1, p 6; repeat from * to end.

Rows 9 and 12:    * K 5, p 2; repeat from * to end.

Rows 10 and 11:  * K 3, p 4; repeat from * to end.

Row 14:    knit across

Repeat these 14 rows for desired length, ending on wrong side with row 13, binding off in knitting.
This would make a nice warm scarf if you just kept knitting until it is long enough for
 a scarf.

Row 1 (RS):  P 2, *YO, k 1, yo, p 2; rep from * across.

Row 2: K 2, * p 3, k 2: rep from * across.

Row 3:  P 2, * k 3, p 2; rep from * across.

Row 4:  K 2, , *  p3 tog, k 2; rep from * across.

Rep Rows 1-4 for Tunnel Lace Pat.

July 2010 Pattern of the Month Knit

 Materials:
Size 8 knitting needles, row counter
1 ball Peaches & Crème Premium Cotton Yarn, Color # P227


Cast on 33 stitches

Rows 1: K 3, pm, knit to last 3 stitches, pm, K 3.

Rows 2 and 3 Knit. Slip markers as you come to them.

Start Pattern:

Rows 1 and 3:   Knit 
Row 2: K4, *k1 in st below, k1; repeat from * across row to last 4 stitches, K4


 
Row 4:  k5, k1 in stitch below, *k1, k1 in stitch below; rep from * to last 5 sts, k5

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern until square or desired length.

Repeat rows 1 to 4 until 7 ½ inches from beginning. Ending with row 4. Knit 3 rows.

Bind off, weave in the ends.

 -Waffle Stitch

 

This stitch is a thick one, so it could be used for potholders, hot mats, rugs, etc. You will need to chain a  multiple of 6 plus 4. That is chain for example chain 28

(6x4+4=28)

 

Foundation Row:

 Work 1 sc in 2nd from hook and in each ch to end. Ch1, turn.  

 

Row 1: Working thru back loop only, 1 Sc in each of first 3 Sc, * thru front loop only, 1 Sc in each of next 3 Sc; thru back loop only, 1 Sc in each of next 3 Sc; rep from * to end. Ch 1, turn.

           

Row 2: Thru front loops work 1 Sc in each of first 3 Sc, * thru back loops work 1 Sc in each of next 3 Sc, thru  front loops work 1 Sc in each of next 3 Sc; rep from to

end. Ch 1, turn.

        

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern.
