My Whole Wheat Sugar Cookies
Amy, you loved these as a kid. Hope you still like them.
1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 cup margarine, softened
4 Tablespoons orange juice (may need a little more)
1 egg 2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Heat oven to 375. In large bowl, mix first nine ingredients. Blend by hand, till blended. Shape into 1 inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheets, 2inches apart. Mix the 2 T. sugar and cinnamon together. Flatten slightly with fork, dipped in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake 8-10 minutes, til light golden brown. (Cookies will be soft in center.) makes two-three dozen cookies.
This is a place for my knitting, sewing, crochet designs and projects. I have been knitting since I was 4, and crocheting since age 19 and I have starting weaving again, along with sewing. So this is where I will be posting those patterns too.
