Flower and Bird Ski Hat

Another hat I did for the hat charity in Maine, a Flower hat with blue skies, green grass and flying birds!

Materials:

1 pair each size 5 & 7 circular needles 16 inches long
1 row counter ("stitch marker to mark beginning of row")
1 set  7 double point needles


Red Heart Sport weight yarn:
  about 1/2 to 1 skein each in Light blue, green, dark blue, white, pale pink and   eyelash yarn 1 skein each in green and blue eyelash



Cast on 112 stitches with the light blue yarn and size 5 needles. Join, being careful not to twist  stitches.

Rows 1 to 7: Knit 2, Purl 2. Change to size 7 circular needles. Drop light blue and attach green eyelash.

Rows 8:  knit one row with green eyelash.

Rows 9 to 11:  Purl with green eyelash, fasten off ( or cut) eyelash after row 11.

Work rows 1 to 27 of chart. 

Then:

Crown: Change to size 7 double point needles when needed.

Rows 28 to 30:  knit with light blue.

Row  31: knit 1 round with blue eyelash

Rows 32 to 34: purl with blue eyelash,.

Row 35: Knit one round with eyelash, fasten off after row 35, attach light blue yarn.

Row 36:  with light blue yarn, knit 1, knit 2 tog, around.

Row 37, knit.

Repeat rows 36 and 37 until you have about 8 to 10 stitches left,  leaving long tail, run needle though remaining stitches and pull up tight.

What size is this hat? Child or adult. I do charity knitting for a hospice organization. I thought this would really cheer up one of the ladies, but I need to know the size. Thanks.
