Layette Lace Stitch

 

Multiples of 4 + 5

 Cast on 21  ( 4 x 4 = 16 + 5 = 21)

Note: sssk: slip the next 3 stitches knit wise, one at a time, insert left handle needle into the 3 stitches and knit the 3 together.

 Note: ssk, slip the next 2 stitches knit wise, one at a time, insert left handle needle into the 2 stitches and knit the 2 together.

 Row 1: k1, yo, sssk, * yo, k1, yo, sssk, repeat from * across row. End with yo, k1.

 Row 2 and all wrong side: Purl

 Row 3 & 7: knit

 Row 5: k 2 tog, yo, k1, *yo, sssk, yo, k1, repeat form * across row to last 3 stitches, yo, ssk, yo, k1.

 Row 8: purl

 Repeat rows 1 to 8 for desired length.
