Rainbow Angel

Materials:

F hook
Starbrights Red Heart Yarn
glue gun
florist wire
Red Heart White yarn
Fiber fill
Pendent crystals
Moss

Stitches used:
sc = single crochet
dc= double crochet
tr = treble crochet
 skp= skip
Ch 3 picot Shell= 2 dc ch 3 sl st in dc 2 dc in same st.
Sl st= slip stitch
* to* = repeat between stars
dec= decrease


Head: Using White yarn.
Rnd 1: Ch 5, sl st to form circle. Ch 1, sc in circle 10 times, sl st in first sc.  (10 sc)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st, 2 sc in each sc around. ( 20 sc)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st and in each st around. ( 20 sc)

Rnds 4-8: Repeat rnd 3.

Rnd 9: Ch 1, pick up loop in same st and in next st yarn  around hook, through  all loops on hook  ( sc decrease made)  *sc in next 3 sts, dec in next 2 sts* around. sl st in first
dec. (16 sc)

Rnd 10: Ch 1, dec over same st and next st,* sc in next 2 st, dec over next 2 sts* around.   (12 sc)

Rnd 11:Ch 1. decrease over same st and next st.* sc in next st, dec next 2 st together* around. (8 sc) end off, weave in ends.

Stuff head firmly with fiber fill, attach Red Heart Starbrights in same st as ending of last rnd.

Rnd 12:  Ch 1, sc,in same st, 2 sc in each st around.  sl st in first sc.  ( 16 sc)

Rnd 13: Ch 1 2 sc in same st. * sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* Repeat around, sl st in first sc (22 sc)

Rnd 14: Ch 1, 2 sc  in same st, * sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat around. Sl st in first sc (32 sc)

Rnd 15: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st,* sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat around sl st in first sc. ( 40 sc)

Rnd 16: ch 1, sc in same st, and in each st around, sl st in first sc.(40 sc)

Rnd 17-23:  Repeat rnd 16.(40 sc)

Rnd 24:  ch 1, sc dec in same st and next st* sc in next 3 st, dec in next 2 sts* repeat around. sl st in first st. (32 sc)

Rnd 25: ch 1 sc dec in same st and next st, * sc in next 2 sc,dec in next 2 sc* repeat  around. (22 sc)

Rnd 26: Ch 1, sc in back loop only all the way around.(22 sc)

Rnd 27: Ch 1, dec over same st and next st * sc in next 4 sc, sc dec over next 2 sc* repeat around. (18 sc)

Rnd 28: Ch 1, sc dec over same st and next st* sc in next 3 sc, dec over next 2 sc * repeat around. (14 sc) Stuff body firmly with fiber fill.

Rnd 29: Ch 1 dec in same st and next st, dec next 2 st together around. Cut yarn off about 12 in from hook, take darning needle and close opening. Weave in end and cut off excess yarn.

Rnd 30: Attach same color yarn at the back on row 26 in the unworked loops. Ch 1, 3 sc in each loop around (66 sc).

Rnd 31: Ch 1, sc in same st,* ch 1, skp next sc, sc in next sc* Repeat around, sl st in first sc.

Rnd 32: Ch 1, sc in same sc * dc in ch 1 sp, sc in next sc*Repeat around.

Rnd 33: Ch 1, sc in same sc,* ch 1, skp next dc, sc in next sc* Repeat around.
Rnd 34: Repeat rnd 32, except work in back loops only around.

Rnd 35: Repeat rnd 33, except work in back loops only around.

Rows 36-52. Repeat these 2 rnds 15 times (32 and 33).  End off weave in ends Attach white in same st as ending.

Rnd 53: Ch3, 2 dc in same st 3 dc in each st around.  End off weave in ends.

SLEEVES: (make 2)
Rd 1) Using Star brights, Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form circle, ch 1, 10 sc in circle, sl st in first sc. ch 1.

Rd 2) 2 sc in each sc around. sl st in first sc. (20 sc)

Rd 3) Ch 1, sc in same st around (20sc) sl st in first sc.

Rd 4-10) Repeat rnd 3, end off weave in ends. attach white.

Rd  11) Ch 5 sl st in 2nd st from hook, dc in the same st, *dc, ch 2, sl st in first st, dc in same st* repeat 3 times. sc in next st, ** ch 2, sl st in first ch, sc in same st ** 15 times repeat *to * 4 times end off weave in ends.

ARMS: (make 2)
1) Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring. Ch1,10 sc in ring.

2) Ch 1, sc in each sc around. sl st in first sc

3) Repeat rnd 2

4) Ch 1, dec over same st and next st * sc in next 2 st, dec over next 2 st* repeat around, dec last 2 together, sl st in first st.

5) Ch 1 sc around.

6-10) Repeat row 5. end off weave in ends.

WINGS:
1) Ch 13, dc in 4th st from hook, ch3, sl st in top of dc (picot made) 2 dc in same st, dc in next st, skp 1 st, 2dc, ch2, 2 dc in next st, skp 1 st, sc in next st, skp 1 st, 2 dc ch 2, 2 dc, in next st, 3 sc in last st,

Working on other side of chain, 2dc,ch2, 2dc,( in same space as last 2dc ch2 2dc on other side of chain) Sc in same space as sc on other side Skp next st, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, (in same  hole as shell on other side of chain) dc in next st , 2 dc in same st as shell  on other side of beginning chain Ch 3 sl st in top of dc, 2 dc in same st. sl st in ch3 of first shell, and into picot.

2) Ch 3, dc, ch3 picot, 2 dc in picot, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc ch 3 picot 2 dc in next dc, 2 dc 3 ch picot, 2 dc in ch 2 space, sc in sc, 2 dc ch 3 picot, 2 dc in same ch 2 sp, sc in sc,2 dc ch 3 picot, 2 dc next ch 2 sp, dc in dc, 2 dc, ch 3 picot, 2 dc in next picot, sl st in first ch 3. end off weave in ends.  Skp 1 dc 3 ch picot shell in next st. ch 3 picot shell in next picot, sl st in ch 3 end off.

2) Re attach yarn in dc between 2nd and 3rd picots from top. Ch 3,
sl st, in 3 rd ch from hook, 2 dc, 2 tr ch3 picot 2 tr, 2 dc in next picot. Dc between shells in rnd 2, 2 dc 2 tr, ch 3 picot 2tr, 2 dc, in next picot, * dc between shells in 2nd rnd. 2dc, 2tr, ch 3 picot 2tr, 2dc in next picot* repeat  one more time, sl st between shells, ch 3 picot end off, weave in ends.

Now come Great fun putting your angel together. This is what brings your angel alive! Stuff arms with fiber fill, glue in side the sleeves and hold in a bending  position, to fit around her round torsel. Glue arms and sleeves at a nice angle on your angel like she is holding something. glue gold Christmas garland ( the kind that bends and has a wire in the center, and form a halo from it)
( 5.47 m) If you don't have any garland, then you can crochet a halo out of yellow or gold yarn. 
Ch enough to make a two inch ring. sl st all the way around end off weave in ends. Glue wings on he back. Take a 6 inch piece of white covered florist wire and string 5 pendant crystals on it and glue between hands. glue pendants evenly spaced across wire Place her on a TPRoll She is finished! Have fun I did! ( The crystals represent rain)

Row 4: purl 6 (p 1, k 1, 3 x) purl 6.

Row 5: knit 6, (k 1, p1, 3 x) knit 6.

Row 6: purl 6 (p 1, k 1, 3 x) purl 6.

Row 7: (k 1, p1, 3 x), knit 6, (k 1, p1, 3 x)

Row 8: (p 1, k 1, 3 x) purl 6(p 1, k 1, 3 x)

Note:  If at any time you start a new stitch and you are on the wrong side of work, just knit another row.

Row 1: (right side of work): K 3, place marker, *yarn forward over needle, K4*; repeat from * to * to last 3 stitches, place marker, k 3,

Row 2: K 3, slip marker, purl to next marker, slip marker, k 3.

Row 3: K 3, slip marker, *yarn forward, slip the next 2 sts onto a cable needle and hold at back of work, Kl from left-hand needle,  then knit together the 2 sts from the cable needle, repeat from * to * to the next marker, slip marker, k 3.

4th row: K 3, slip marker, purl to next marker, slip marker, k 3.

Repeat rows 3 and 4  ten times, end with row 4.

Knit 5 rows, removing markers on the 5th row.

Materials:

3 cones Cream #3  
6 balls Country Garden #167  Peaches & Crème by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc.   
1 G hook
1 K hook

 


Using the K hook and with 2 strands of cream held together, ch 5 to form ring, join with slip stitch.

Rd 1, ch 1 8 sc in ring, join with slip stitch.
                                                                                                            
Rd 2  ch 1  1 sc in same place, 2sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc, around, join with slip stitch.  (12sc)                                                                                                                 
Rd 3  ch 1, 1 sc in same place, 2 sc, in next sc, 1 in each of next 2 sc, around, join with slip stitch. End 3 sc in last sc ( 18sc)

Rd 4  repeat round 3, join with slip stitch.  (26sc)

Rd 5   ch 2, 1 dc in same place, 1dc in next 2 sc, 2 dc in next sc, around. End 2 dc in last sc, join with slip stitch. (36 dc, ch 2 counts as 1dc.)

Rd  6  ch 2, post around next dc, 1 dc in next dc, post around next dc, around, join with slip stitch. (18 posts & 18dc)

Rd 7   ch 2, post around post, 2 dc, post around next post, around, join with slip stitch. (18 posts & 36dc)

Rd 8   ch 2, post around post, 3 dc, post around next post, around, join with slip stitch.  (18 posts & 54dc)

Rd 9   ch 2, post around post, 4 dc, post around next post, around, join with slip stitch. (18 posts & 72 dc.)

Rd 10  repeat round 9, join with slip stitch.

Rd 11,  ch 2, post around post, 5 dc, post around next post, around, join with slip stitch. (18 posts & 90 dc)

Rd 12   repeat round 11, join with slip stitch.

Rd 13,  ch 2, post around first post, 2 dc, post around third dc, 2 dc, post around next post, repeat around, join with slip stitch. ( (36 posts & 72 dc)  Fasten off cream.

Rd 14   Attach Country Gardens to the top of any post, ch2, 4 dc in same place, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc, 5 dc in next dc, around, join with slip stitch. Fasten off Country Gardens.


For ties
 With 2 strands of Country Gardens held together, and leaving a tail of about 5”, ch 40, holding wrong side of cushion towards you, sc around any post, 1sc in same place, ch 40, fasten off. Skip 9 posts, repeat from * to *. Fasten off.  Repeat for other 3 chair pads.

For Tassels
  Cut a piece of card board 4” inches  . Using 2 strands of Country Gardens and 2 of cream, wrap the yarn around the cardboard 10 times. Use the ends of the ties to tie the tassel at the top, tie tight. Cut the yarn at the bottom. Tie again about 1 inch from the top of the tassel.  Cut the yarn at the end of the tassel even. Repeat for the other 15 tassels.
