Lace weaving sampler

 Lace weaving sampler

I took a course for Lace weaving from https://kelly-casanova-weaving-lessons.teachable.com/ called Lovely and Lacy - Workshop and I loved it and the class did not cost a lot either.  I learned some new things, and found I was doing a draft wrong, so had to redo it, but liked the error so I keep it, I turned the sampler into a wall hanging. I used a toothbrush on the fringe type yarn to make it show up more, bushing it before beating it and a stick I found in my yard after a storm to hang it on.

Amy's Log Cabin Scarf

 Amy's Log Cabin Scarf

Materials

16 inch loom

2 shuttles

7.5 reed

I used I love this Yarn by Hobby Lobby in Black Art # 100 and Metallic # 736 Red.

The Black is 100% acrylic and the Red Metallic is 97% acrylic 3% Metallic Polyester.

I used both yarns for warp and weft.

I wove 8 rows of black and hemmed stitched across the bottom and started pattern.

Weaving a new scarf

This is a picture of a scarf I am weaving for my granddaughter
for Christmas. Taking me a bit longer but am getting it done.

I have used several different types of yarn here. Simply soft being the main in the blue. Also used a variegated in a blue too with a yellow mohair type and a fluffy type yarn as well.

You can't see it but I used a ribbon yarn in the warp but not in the weft. All machine wash and dry.

I really enjoy weaving. I want to make another scarf or two and a christmas table runner. Then another kitchen dish mat.

Another hat

Another hat finished, this time in Blue, Yellow and White, changed it a lot from the first one, and I really like this one much better. It...
