Materials:

G= hook

Early American Ombre Sugar and Cream Yarn

10" Teddy Bear

American Flag Ribbon 2.5" Wide

Glue gun

Very Easy For beginners:   Stitches used:

Sl st= slip stitch        sc= single crochet         dc= double crochet

Row 1: Ch 31, sc in second st from hook, sc in remainder of the stitches across the row.  (30 sc).

Row 2: Put markers as follows: In 3rd, 7 th, sts from both ends. ch 1, sc in first 3 sc, ch 14, sc in next 18 sts or to next marker. Ch 14 sc in last 3 sts.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc across.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc across.

Row 5: Ch 3, 2 dc in same st, 3 dc in each sc across.

Row 6: Ch 3 dc in each dc across.

Row 7-8: Repeat row 6.

Row 9: Ch 3, sc in same st, sc in next st, ch 3 sc in same st, repeat across row. End off. weave in ends.

Use a piece of yarn to tie the back neck together to hold it on bear. Wings 2.5" Ribbon (your choice of color) I used American flag Make a 4 loop bow. Spread out like wings and glue to back of bear. Cut ends at an angle.          

Halo: With the ombre yarn.

Ch 30: sl st in first ch, to form a circle. Ch 1, sc in each chain around, sl st in first sc. End off and weave in ends. Have fun!

July 2023 Stitch of the Month Crochet 

Based on an even numbers of stitches, for an Afghan chain 16,   for a dishcloth, chain 26.

Row 1   1sc in 2nd chain for hook, * 1 hdc in next ch, 1 sc

in next ch, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn.

Row 2  1 sc in each sc and 1hdc in each hdc across row, ch 1,  turn.

Repeat row 2 for pattern.

For Afghan, do 13 rows, repeat until square for the dishcloth.
