for sample cast on 16, 18 or 20 stitches (even amount)

Row 1: K.

Row 2: P.

Row 3: K 2 tog across row.

Row 4: * K 1, pick up horizontal thread before next st and knit*.

Repeat from row 1 until desired length.

I love Cheryl Harper's writing. Her story SMOKY MOUNTAIN SWEETHEARTS is filled with great characters, action and lots of mountain scenes.

The story of a firefighter trying to reconnect with an old flame whose husband has died of cancer is an emotional packed book. Great read.
