Barbecued Chicken
2 to 3 # chicken 2 T fat
1 onion chopped ½ cup water 1 t salt
3 T vinegar 2 T brown sugar
1 t prepared mustard 1 t worchestershire sauce
1 can tomato sauce
Quarter chicken, brown in hot fat, remove to baking pan, brown onion in fat, add remaing ingredients. Simmer 30 min. pour over chicken, bake uncoved in slow over (325) one hour, service with barbecue sauce from pan. You can use this sauce for spareribs, hamburgers, other meats. Serves 4.
