For sample cast on 20 ( 3 x 6 = 18 + 2 = 20)
row 1: * k 2, p 1 * end k 2
Row 2: * p 2, k 1 * end p 2
Row 3: * k 2, p 1 * end k 2
Row 4: knit
repeat these 4 rows for pattern until desired length or
until almost square.
Then rows 1 to 3 once and bind off purlwise.
