Small needles size 3, solid color of thread,  and wooden tooth picks

Cast on 12

Roll 1 to 5 Knit
Roll 6, K4-P4-K4
Roll 7 K4-P4-K4
Roll 8 K4-P4-K4

Roll 9, P4-K4-P4
Roll 10,P4-K4-P4
Roll 11,P4-K4-P4

Roll 12, Knit
Roll 13,Knit
Roll 14,Knit
Roll 15,Knit

Roll 16, Use tooth pick and knit stitches (12) off needle just hold tooth pick easy you can do this.

Roll17, ALL stitches are now on plastic tooth pick. With other tooth pick knit 6 stitches.  LEAVE about 20 inches of thread then cut it. with the long thread start rolling it up into a little ball add some school glue to this little ball to keep it from coming apart.

Then glue the little "yarn ball onto the piece you knitted. Glue the stitches to both tooth picks have the tooth picks cross each other at the top to look like it is being knitted. When dry put a brooch or pin fastener on the back to wear as a brooch/pin OR put a magnet on the back for a fridgie.

The Black Box

She told the counselor about her dad pulling her hair, about him calling her names, telling her to get out; she showed him the marks that her dad left on her when he would punch her.  I was there when she told the counselor about all of it. She kept a dairy of it all, I told her to give it to the courts.   It was kept with all our court paperwork.  The marriage counselor said the courts ordered her to see her dad. He lied; I have the copies of the paper work. The counselor told her to go live with her dad.  Justice is only for those who buy it.

Purple Ski Hat

I am knitting hats for a charity in Maine, and this is one of the simple patterns I am making. It’s colorful and will warm in those cold Maine winters.

Materials:

1 main color and 5 others, in worsted weight yarn, I used purple as my main, red, cream, gold, navy, and brown as the 2 colors.

Size 5 & 7 circular knitting needles

1 row counter

10 stitch markers

Size 7 double pointed knitting needles

With main and using size 5 circular knitting needles, cast on 100

Rds 1 to 7: Knit 2, Purl 2

Next rounds: Change to size 7 needles and knit as follows:

3 rounds with color number 2 (red)

3 rounds with Main

3 rounds with color number 3 (cream)

3 rounds with main

3 rounds with color number 4 (gold)

 3 rounds with main

3 rounds with color number 5 (navy)

3 rounds with main

3 rounds with color number six (brown)

3 rounds with main

Top or crown of hat

Rd 1, with rd, knit and place markers after every 10^th stitch,

Rd 2: purl, slip markers as you come to them.

Rd 3: and rest of top, knit to 2 stitches before marker, knit 2 tog.

Repeat round 3 until you have 10 stitches left, change to size 7 double pointed needles needed. Cut yarn leaving a long tail, run yarn though remaining stitches and pull up tight, work ends of yarn in.

Based on a multiple of 12 chain plus 5.

Foundation Chain:

Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in next ch, * ch 3, skip 1 ch, 1 sc in next ch, (ch 5, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in next ch) twice, ch 3, skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, repeat from * across, Ch 2, turn

Row 2: 1 dc in each of next 2,dc, * ch 3,1 sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 3; 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, repeat from * across, end last dc in top of turning-ch, ch 2; turn .

Row 3: 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, * ch 3, 1 sc in next ch 3 sp, ch 5, 1 sc in ch 3 sp, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch 3 sp, ch 3, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, repeat from * across, ch 2, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 for pattern.

 Materials:  Cotton or Acrylic yarn, F hook or size needed

Chain 6, sl st in first ch to form a ring.

 

ROUND 1:  Ch 2,(counts as first hdc), 11 hdc in ring, join with sl st in top of first hdc.

ROUND 2:  Ch 1, sc in joining st, 2 sc in next hdc, *1 sc in next hdc, 2 sc in next hdc *.  Repeat from * to * 4 times, join with sl st in 1st sc.  (18 sc)

ROUND 3:  Ch 1, sc in joining st, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *to * 4 times, join with sl st in 1st sc.  (24 sc).

ROUND 4:  Ch 1, sc in joining st, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from * to * 4 times, join with sl st in 1st sc.  (30 sc).

ROUND 5:  Ch 1, sc in joining sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from * to * 4 times, join with sl st in back loop of 1st sc.  (36 sc).

ROUND 6:  (work back loops only) ch 1, sc in each sc around, join with sl st.

ROUND 7 & 8:  Ch 1, sc in joining sc, sc in each sc around, and join.

ROUND 9:  Ch 3 (counts as 1hdc and ch 1), sk next sc, hdc in next sc, ch 1, *sk 1 sc, 1 hdc in next sc, ch 1 *, repeat from * to * 16 times, join with sl st in 2nd ch of ch 3.  (18 ch 1 sp and 18 hdc)

 G hook

With Peacock chain 4 to form ring.

Rd 1 ch2, 11 dc in ring, join slip stitch.

Rd 2  ch, 2hdc in each dc around, join.  Fasten off

Rd 3 attach white, ch 2, working in ridge below back loops, 2 hdc in each hdc around. Fasten off.

Rd 4 Attach peacock, ch 2, 1 dc in each hdc around. Fasten off.

Rd 5 attach ch white, ch 2 1hdc in same place, * 2 hdc in next dc, 1 hdc in next dc, *. Repeat from * to *. Fasten off.

Rd 6 attach peacock, ch 1, working in ridge below back loop, sc around, fasten off.
