Granny Dishcloth -
 Materials needed, small amounts of four contrasting colors of worsted weight cotton yarn such as Sugar'N Cream, an H hook and a yarn needle to tuck in ends. Finished Granny Dishcloth measures 8 1/2"square. 



 Directions: With Color A, ch 5, join with sl st to form ring. Rnd One - Ch 5, [work 3 dc in ring, ch 2] three times; work 2 dc in ring and join round with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 5 (do not turn work at any time). 

 Rnd Two -Sl st into next ch, ch 5, work 3 dc in same space, [ch 2, in next ch space work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] three times; ch 2, work 2 dc in next corner space and join rnd with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 5; end off. 

 Rnd Three - Attach Color B with a sl st in any corner ch space, ch 5, work 3 dc in same space, [ch 2, work 2 dc in next ch 2 space, ch 2, in next corner space work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] three times; ch 2, work 2 dc in next ch 2 space, ch 2; work 2 dc in next corner space and join rnd with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 5. 

 Rnd Four - Sl st into next ch, ch 5, work 3 dc in same space, [ch 2, work 2 dc in next ch space, dc in each of next two dc, work 2 dc in next ch sp, ch2, in next corner space work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] 3 times; ch 2, work 2 dc in next ch sp, dc in each of next two dc, work 2 dc in next ch sp, ch 2; in next corner sp work 2 dc and join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 5; end off. 

 Rnd Five - Attach Color C with a sl st in any corner ch space, ch 5, work 3 dc in same space, [ch 2, work 2 dc in next ch space, dc in each dc across (in this row dc in each dc means the next two dc, in the next row this same direction will mean the next 6 dc and so on), work 2 dc in next ch sp, ch 2, in next corner space work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] 3 times; ch 2, work 2 dc in next ch sp, dc in each dc across, work 2 dc in next ch sp, ch 2; in next corner sp work 2 dc and join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 5. 

 Rnds Six and Seven - Repeat Rnd Five, changing colors at the end of Rnd Six to Color D, do not end off. 

 Edging - Continuing with same color, sl st in next ch, ch 1, sc in same corner sp, ch 2; *[work sc decrease over next two dc (sc decrease is worked by inserting hook in next st or space and drawing up a loop, insert hook into next st or space and draw up another loop, YO and take off all three loops on hook), ch 2; sc decrease over next dc and ch 2 space, ch 2; work sc decrease in same sp and next dc, ch 2 ; [work sc dec over next two dc, ch 2] across row then dec over last dc and next sp, ch 2; dec in same sp and next dc, ch 2; dec over next two dc, ch 2; [sc in corner sp, ch 2] twice; repeat from * around, ending with sc in last corner space, ch 2 andjoin rnd with sl st in beg sc; end off. 1 ball Peaches & Crème 4 ply worsted weight Cotton yarn, any color. 
 2 markers for border. 

 Cast on 37. 

 Row 1 - 3: K1, P1, K1 across row. 

 Row 4: k1, p1, k1, (pm), knit to last 3 stitches, (pm) k1, p1, k1. 

 Row 5: k1, p1, k1, purl 31, k1, p1, k1. 

 Row 6: k1, p1, k1, *yo, k2 tog across to last 4 stitches, k2, p1, k1 

 Row 7: k1, p1, k 33, p1, k1. 

 Row 8: k1, p1, k 33, p1, k1. 

 Row 9: k1, p1, k1, purl 31, k1, p1, k1.

 Row 10: k1, p1, k 2 *yo, k2 tog across, end ,k1, p1, k1. 

 Row 11: k1, p1, k 33, p1, k1 Repeat rows 4 to 11, 6 times, then rows 4 & 5 one time. Do rows 1 to 3, bind off, and weave in threads.

I love the color of this dishcloth and the way the color of the light pink played into the cloth. 






Materials:
One pair 8 knitting needles
3 stitch markers
1 row counter
1 ball Peaches and Crème Cotton Yarn Art 930 # # 218 Cherry Pink


Notes:
SSK = slip 1 stitch knit wise twice, knit both slipped stitch thru back loops.
PSSO = Pass slip stitch over


Slip markers has you come to them.

Cast on 34 stitches.


Upset row: K 6, place marker, knit 11, place marker knit 11, place marker k 6.

Knit 5 more rows.

Row 1: K 6, *( k2 tog, yo} 2 times, k3, {yo, ssk} 2 times*,  repeat * to * once more, K 6.

Row 2: K 6, p 22,  K6.

Row 3: K 6, *k2, yo, ssk, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k2 tog, yo, k2*. repeat * to * once more, K 6

Row 4: K 6, p 22,  K6.

Row 5: K 6, *k3, yo, ssk, yo, sl 1-k2tog,  psso, yo, k3 repeat * to * once more, K 6

Row 6: K 6, p 22,  K6.

Row 7: K 6, *k 4, (yo, ssk} 2 times, k3*.  repeat * to * once more, K 6.

Row 8: K 6, p 22,  K6.

Row 9: K 6, *k2, k2tog, yo, k1, {yo, ssk} 2 times, k2*, repeat * to * once more, K 6.

Row 10: K 6, p 22,  K6.

Of all the ski hats I have made, this one is my favorite. I still wear it, washes up great.

Materials:

Size 5 & 7 circular needles, one set double pointed needles

Red Heart Sport Weight Yarn in White and Raspberry, about 1/2 skein each 

Lion Brand ribbon Trellis in Stained Glass about 1/2 ball

Lion Brand Fun Fur in Raspberry about 1/2 ball

11 or 12 stitch markers, row counter

 

NOTE: please read all of pattern before starting.    

With size 5 needles, cast on 108 

Rds 1 to 8: K 2, P 2

Rd 9:  change to size 7 needles and knit .

 Rd 10-13: change to long eyelash & purl.

 Rd 14-15 Knit with white.

Change double pointed needles when needed.

Rd 36: with white, and placing markers every 12 stitches, knit.

Rd 37: knit, dec one stitch before markers by knitting them together.

Rd 38, 39, 40: attach eyelash, purl dec one stitch before markers around.

Rd 41: fasten off eyelash, with white repeat row 37 until one stitch remains between markers.

Run yarn thru remaining stitches, draw up tight, run yarn thru again, fasten off weave in the

threads.
