Materials:

2  balls Loops & Threads Charisma  in # 20 Bouquet

 Size 11 knitting needles

1 row counter

6 stitch markers

1 u shaped cable needle

 



Cast on 26 stitches

Note: slip markers as you come to them.

Row 1: K 1, P 1, K 1

Row 2: P 1, K 1, P 1.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 once more

Now Start Pattern:

Row 1:  K 1, P 1, K 1, place marker, ( K2 Tog, yo ) 3 x, place marker,  P 1, place marker, knit 6, place marker, P 1, place marker, 

( K2 Tog, yo ) 3 x, place marker, P 1, K 1, P 1. 

Row 2: P 1, K 1, P 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm, K 1, P 1, K 1

     Note:  where the 6 stitches are, these stitches will always have 6 stitches.

Row 3: K 1, P 1, K 1, ( yo, slip 1, k1 pass slip stitch over, = SKP ) 3 x, sm, P 1, sm, slip first 3 stitches to cable needle, hold in front and k next 3 sts. then knit the 3 sts from the cable needle. P 1, ( yo, skp) 3 x, sm,  P 1, K 1, P 1,

Row 4:   P 1, K 1, P 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm, K 1, P 1, K 1

Row 5: K 1, P 1, K 1, sm, ( K2 Tog, yo ) 3 x, sm, P 1, sm, knit 6,sm, , P 1, sm, ( K2 Tog, yo ) 3 x,sm, P 1, K 1, P 1.

Row 6: P 1, K 1, P 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm, K 1, P 1, K 1

Row 7: K 1, P 1, K 1,  ( yo, skp) 3 x, sm, P 1, sm, knit 6, sm, , P 1, sm,  ( yo, skp) 3 x, sm, P 1, K 1, P 1.

Row 8:  P 1, K 1, P 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm, k 1, sm, P 6, sm K 1, P 1, K 1

Row 9:  K 1, P 1, K 1, sm, ( K2 Tog, yo ) 3 x, sm, P 1, slip first 3 stitches to cable needle, hold in front and k next 3 sts. then knit the 3 sts from the cable needle. P 1,( K2 Tog, yo ) 3, sm, P 1, K 1, P 1.

Now repeat rows 4, 7, 4, 1, 4, 3 cable then

rows 4, 1, 4, 7, 4, 9 cable in this order for a total of 15 times

Note:  I put the cable after 3 and 9 because these two rows you will do a cable stitch. I also find it helpful if you do all the top row or all the bottom row before stopping. I would note that I am on the top section or the bottom section to keep from losing my place in the pattern.  

then

Row 1: K 1, P 1, K 1

Row 2: P 1, K 1, P 1.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 once more. Bind off, weave in the yarn ends.

Nina's Vine Scarf Pattern

Materials:
(read notes before you start)
11, 13, or 15 knitting needles, depends on size yarn.
Row counter, two markers
eyelash or ribbon yarn

Notes:
1. slip markers as you come to them.
2. I used 11 needles, and baby yarn, with an eyelash, fun fur or a ribbon type yarn.
3. You can omit the eyelash yarn and cast on with the yarn.
4. I made each half about 3 1/2 feet long.
5. SSK= (slip one purl wise, do it again, now k them tog thru back loops),



Cast on 24 for thick yarn, or 33 for thin yarn.

With eyelash or ribbon, cast on  33 (or 24) and knit 10 rows. Cut eyelash, and attach yarn.

Row 1: k1, p1, k1, place marker, p18, place marker ,k1, p1, k1.

Row 2: k1, p1, k1, * k1, yo, k2, ssk, k 2 tog,  k2, yo, repeat from * across row, end k1, p1, k1,

Row 3: as row 1. ( k1, p1, k1, p18 ,k1, p1, k1.)

Row 4: k1, p1, k1, *yo, k 2, ssk, k 2 tog, k2, yo, k1 repeat from * across row, end, k1, p1, k1.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
Make half the length you want, put on holder, repeat for other half,
then sew together at center. I placed the stitches on the holder back on the needles and did a 2 needle bind off.

Materials:

2 balls Fluffy by Unger (1 ¾ oz, 50 grams per ball)  
    This is about a 1 or 2 ply fluffy yarn.
1 pair size 10 knitting needles
2 stitch markers
1 row counter

cast on 33
set up row: knit 3, place marker, knit across to the last 3 stitches, place marker, knit 3.


Rows 2 to 5: knit across row.

row 1: knit 3, sm,  *k 1, yo, k 2 tog, k 2,  p 1, sl 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back of work, k next 2 sts, then k the stitches from the cable needle, p 1 *, 2 times, * k 1, yo, k 2 tog, k 2,sm, knit 3

row 2: knit 3, sm,  (p 5, k1, p4, k1) 2 times, p 5, sm, knit 3

row 3: knit 3, sm ,  *k2, yo, k 2 tog, k1, p 1, k4, p1 *.  repeat from * to * to 5 stitches before next marker, k2, yo, k 2 tog, k1, sm, knit 3

row 4: knit 3 sm, *p  5, k1, p4, kl,  * to 5 stitches before next marker,  p5, sm, knit 3

row 5:  knit 3, sm , *k3, yo, k 2 tog, p1,  sl 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back of work, k next 2 sts, then k held sts, p1 * to 5 stitches before next marker, k 3, yo, k 2 tog, sm, knit 3

row 6: knit 3 sm, (p 5, k1, p4, k1) 2 times, p 5, sm, k1, p1, k1, sm, knit 3

row 7: knit 3, sm, *k 2 tog, yo, k 3, p 1, k 4, p 1,* repeat from * repeat from * to * 1 time, k 2 tog, yo, k 3, sm, knit 3

row 8: knit 3, sm, (p 5, k1, p4, k1) 2 times, p 5, sm, k 1, p 1, k 1, sm, knit 3

Repeat rows 1 to 8 of pattern 27 times, then rows 1 to 5 of pattern.

Rows 1 to 5: knit across row, bind off, weave in the yarn ends.

Amy's Woven Scarf

Amy's Woven Scarf

This is another weaving project that I just finished. A Red, Blue and Black woven scarf for my daughter Amy in her favorite colors. The Caron Simply Soft weaves beautifully and it's wash and dry in the machines!



Yarns used:
Caron Simply Soft Harvest Red 9763 H9003  2 skeins

Caron Simply Soft  Royal Sparkle Blue  about 1/2 skein







I Love This Yarn  Black  about 1/2 skein

I used these yarns for both the warp and weft

Length of warp 125 inches
Warp ends 70        7.5  Reed
35 warp ends each side of center. 
Fringe 4 inches




Warping starting on left as you face the loom:
 6 red, 4 blue, 6 red, 2 black, 2 red, 2 black, 32 red, 4 black, 2 blue, 4 black, 6 red.

Pick up Stick pattern:
over 6, under 1 across
   rows 1 to 7 plain weave
   row 8  Heddle in natural, stick forward and on edge, weave one row, push stick back


Hemstitch bottom after about 10 to 15 rows.

Steps: 
1. Red weave 10 rows plain, then row 8 of pick up stick pattern
   then 3 repeats of pick stick pattern.
  
2. Blue:
    weave 3 repeats of pick up stick pattern

3. Red:
    weave 3 repeats of pick up stick pattern

4. Black:
    weave 3 repeats of pick up stick pattern

5. Red:
    weave 3 repeats of pick up stick pattern



Repeat from 1 until you have done about 75 inches.

Then work steps 1 and 2 again. Then step 1. Hemstitch and remove from loom. Tie fringe in groups of 3 or 4 on both ends. Trim to 4 inches.

Multiples of 3, for Afghan chain 15, chain dishcloth, chain 27.

Row 1, 1 sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across , ch 3, turn.

Row 2  1 dc in next  sc, * ch 1, skip 1 sc, 1 dc in each of next 2 sc, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn.

Row 3  1 sc in each dc, and in each ch-1 space across, end 1 sc  in top of turning ch, chain 3, turn.

Repeat rows 2 & 3 for pattern. 9 rows for afghan and until square

for dishcloth. (you will have for afghan square 4 rows of dc)

Materials:
Size 10 knitting needles
1 ball Bernat Satin Sport Weight yarn in Rose Rose
1 ball Lion brand Fancy Fur in Pretty in Pink
1 row counter

With the sport and fur held together cast on 26 stitches.

Rows 1 to 7 knit.  After row 7 fasten off the fancy fur, and continue  with just the Sport weight.

Rows 1 and 2: Knit.



Row 3: K6, *[yo] 2 times, k1, [yo] 3 times, k1, [yo] 4 times, k1, [yo] 3 times, k1, [yo] 2 times, k6; rep from *.

Row 4: *K6, drop 2 yo off left needle, k1, drop 3 yo, k1, drop 4 yo, k1, drop 3 yo, k1, drop 2 yo; rep from * to last 6 sts, k6.

Rows 5 and 6: Knit.

Row 7: K1, *[yo] 2 times, k1, [yo] 3 times, k1, [yo] 4 times, k1, [yo] 3 times, k1, [yo] 2 times, k6; rep from *, ending last rep k1 instead of k6.

Row 8: K1, *drop 2 yo off left needle, k1, drop 3 yo, k1, drop 4 yo, k1, drop 3 yo, k1, drop 2 yo, k6; rep from *, ending last rep k1 instead of k6.

Rep Rows 1-8 until you have completed  23 repeats of the pattern. (count the open lace work from the side).

Now repeat rows 1 and 2.

Attach the 7 the fancy fur and with both yarns knit 7 rows. Bind off, weave in the yarn ends.

       1 skein eyelash yarn,  
        two markers.
   Size 11 knitting needles







Cast on 23

Using both yarns together, set up row:  k3, pm, k 17, pm, k3 and  knit total of 6 row, drop eyelash, and start pattern:


Row 1 (RS):  K3,   P 2, *YO, k 1, yo, p 2; rep from * across to last marker, k3

Row 2: k3, (edge stitch) K 2, * p 3, k 2: rep from * across to last marker, k3

Row 3: k3, (edge stitch) P 2, * k 3, p 2; rep from * across to last marker, k3

Row 4: k3, (edge stitch) K 2, * p3 tog, k 2; rep from * across to last marker, k3.

Knit 16 rows of pattern.

Knit 6 rows with both yarns.

Knit 12 rows of pattern.

Knit 6 rows with both yarns.

Knit 16 rows of pattern.

Knit 6 rows with both yarns, bind off.
