What happens when your
lawyer that you hired to help you starts giving advice to your husband and you
complain? Isn’t that a conflict of interest? I was told that she could do it
and I couldn’t do anything about it, oh, except to pay for the bill. What
happens when your lawyer lies in count to help your husband? Well, mine did and
got by with it.

No one has commented on this yet, and since I have some experience on both sides of the fence here I thought I would add my two cents. Which is about all I would pay that lawyer. My advice (as a former paralegal and one who also went through a harrowing, four year divorce) FIRE HER and report her to the State Bar Review for conflict of interest, then sue her ass for breach of contract...don't forget to ask for pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost income and anything else you can reasonably think of and expect to collect on. Get another lawyer before you fire her. Get a pit bull. Check them out first. Sign them up on a contingency contract where they don't get paid if they don't win your case. Yes, you can do that. Next time do more homework before you hire a lawyer and be sure you know you are dealing with someone who will work for you, not your soon to be ex. Don't be naive. Educate yourself as to your rights with an attorney and the various kinds of contracts available when hiring one.
