December 2017 Stitch of the Month Crochet
Starting
chain: Multiple of 6 sts + 2.
For
sample chain 20 (6 x 3 = 18 + 2 = 20)
Dc group = work 3 dc in next sc until 1 loop of each remains on hook, yo and through all 4 loops on hook.
3 Dc
group = work 3 dc in same sc as last group until 1 loop of each remains
on hook (4 loops on hook), skip 5 sc, in next sc work 3 dc until 1 loop of each
remains on hook, yo and through all loops on hook.
Row
1: (right side): Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch to
end, turn.
Row
2: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each sc to end, turn.
Row
3: 3 ch (count as 1 dc), skip first 3 sc, work 1 dc group in next sc,
3 ch, *1 3 dc group, 3 ch; rep from * to last 3 sc, in same sc as last group
work 3 dc until 1 loop of each remains on hook (4 loops on hook), 1 dc in last
sc until 5 loops remain on hook, yo and through all 5 loops, turn.
Row
4: 1 ch, 1 sc in top of
first group, 5 sc in 3 ch arch, *1 sc in top of next group, 5 sc in next 3 ch
arch; rep from * to last group, 1 sc in 5th of 5 ch at beg of previous row,
turn.
Row
5: 1 ch, work 1 sc in
each sc to end, turn.
Repeat
rows 2 to 5 until desired length.
