Materials:
G Hook
1 ball cotton yarn, in pink

Picture shown is the small dishcloth
For small dishcloth ch 32, for large dishcloth ch 40

Note:  the turning chain in the foundation row only does not count as a stitch

Foundation Row: Work 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch to end. Ch 1, turn.

Row 1: 1 sc in back loop each of the first 2 hdc, * ch 2, skip 2 hdc, 1 sc in back loop of each of next 2 hdc; rep from *, ending 1 sc in back loop of last hdc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. Ch 2, turn.

Row 2: Skip first sc, 1 hdc in next sc, *2 hdc under ch-2, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sc; rep from * to end. Ch 1, turn.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for small 11 times, for large 13 times ending with row 2.
Bind off weave in the ends of yarn.

Heather's Dishcloth

Materials: Peaches & Crème Cotton yarn, any solid
2 stitch markers
1 row counter
1 pair size 8 knitting needles

Cast on 40 stitches.





Notes: Slip markers as you come to them. You will have 5 stitches before and after each marker.

Set up row: Knit 5, pm (place marker), knit 30, pm, k 5

Rows 1 to 4: knit Start pattern rows. Rows 1, 3, 5, and 7: k 5, (k 1. P 1) 4 times for 8 moss stitch. (This is the wrong side of work) * k 5, P1, work (k 1, p1) 2 times *, repeat from * to *, ending last repeat with k1, p1, k5

Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: k 5, (p 1. k 1) 4 times. * p4, (p 1. k 1) 3 times, * repeat from * to *, ending last repeat with p 1, k1, knit 5.

Rows 9, 10, 11, 12: Knit

Rows 13, 15, I7, and 19: knit 5, K 1. p1. * k 5, (p 1, k 1) twice, p 1 *; repeat from * to *, ending last repeat with p 1. k 1. p1, knit 5

Rows 14, 16, 18, and 20: k 5, P 1, k 1, * P 5, k 1, (p 1, k 1) twice *; repeat from * to *, ending last repeat with k 1, P 1. k 1, k 5.

Rows 21, 22, 23, 24: Knit

Repeat rows 1 to 20 one more time. Knit 5 rows, bind off, weave in the ends.
