Based on a multiple of 13 chain.
Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, * 3 dc in next ch, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch, repeat from * across, end 3 dc in next ch, 1 dc in each of last 5 ch, ch 3, turn to count as first dc on next row.
Row 2: Skip next dc, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, * 3 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 5 dc, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in each of next 5 dc, repeat from * across, end 3 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in top of turning-ch, ch 3, turn.
Repeat Row 2 for pattern.

Explanations of terms used for both the Brother and Silver Reed machines. 19 pretty very interesting rib patterns, some of which have variations. Plenty of diagrams to show you how to set up the needles with color pictures of each of the ribbings, including the cables. Very easy to understand directions in a large print format.
