Notes:

M 1 = wind yarn around needle to make one

TBL = knit one through back loop

If the front isn't facing you, knit one more row

Row 1: knit 3, place marker, * Wrn to make 1, k1 tbl, m 1, slip 1, k 1, psso, k5, place marker*, knit 3

Row 2:  Knit 3, s m, * P4, p2 tog Tbl, p3, sm, * knit 3, 

Row 3: Knit 3, s m * M 1, k 1 tbl, m l, k2, sl 1, k l ,psso, k 3 sm, * knit 3, 

Row 4: Knit 3, s m * P2, p2 tog, p5  sm, * knit 3, 

Row 5:  Knit 3, s m * Kl tbl, m l, k4, Sl 1, kl, psso, kl, ml sm, * knit 3,  .

Row 6:  Knit 3, s m *p 1, p2 tog, p 6 , sm, * knit 3       

Row 7:   Knit 3, s m * K5, K2 tog, m 1, k 1 tbl, m1 sm, * knit 3 

Row 8:   Knit 3, s m *P3, p 2 tog, P4, sm, * knit 3    

Row 9   Knit 3, s m *K3, k2 tog., k2, ml, kl tbl, ml . sm, * knit 3

Row 10:  Knit 3, s m *P5, p2 tog, p2, sm,  *knit 3 

Row 11   Knit 3, s m, * M1, k1, k2 tog, k4, m1, k 1 tbl * sm, knit 3

Row 12   Knit 3, s m , *P6, p2 tog, p1, sm, * knit 3 

Repeat rows 1 to 12 one more time,  Knit 6 rows, on the 6^th, decease 1 stitches and remove markers

PSSO = Pass slipped stitch over
pm = place marker

Before starting, If front side is not facing you knit one more row.

Row 1: (right side) K 3, pm, K1, *YO, sl 1, K2tog, PSSO, YO, K5; repeat from * to last 6 stitches, YO, SL 1, K2tog, PSSO, YO, K1, pm, k 2

Row 2:  K 2, sm, Purl to next marker, sm, K 3

Row 3: K 3, sm, K1, *YO, sl 1, K2tog, PSSO, YO, K5; repeat from * to last 6 stitches, YO, SL 1, K2tog, PSSO, YO, K1, sm, k 2

Row 4: K 2, sm, Purl to next marker, sm, K 3

Row 5: K 3, sm, K4, *YO, sl 1, K1 PSSO, K1, K2tog, YO, K3; repeat from * to last  3 stitches, K1, sm, k2.

Row 6: K 2, sm, Purl to next marker, sm, K 3

Row 7: K 3, sm, K1, *YO, sl 1, K2 tog, PSSO, YO, K1: repeat from * to last 2 stitches, sm, k 2

Row 8: K 2, sm, Purl to next marker, sm, K 3

Knit rows 1 to 8 once more

Knit 6 rows, on last knit row, increase 4 stitches evenly spaced across row.

Remove markers on last row.

Cast on in Multiples of 6 + 1( so 7, 13, 19, 25, )

Note: P2 sso  = slip 2 as if to purl, k 1, pass 2 slipped stitches over stitch just knitted

Row 1: (right side) K 2, pm, *K1, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, K2tog through back loop; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K1, pm, k 1

Row 2: K 1, sm, Purl across to next marker, sm, k 2

Row 3: K 2, sm, K2tog *YO, K3, YO, sl 2 sts purlwise, K1, pass 2 slipped sts over stitch just knit, repeat from * to last 6 stitches, YO, K3, YO, K2tog through back loop, sm, k 1.

Row 4:  K 1, sm, Purl across to next marker, sm, k 2

Row 5: K 2, sm, *K1, YO, K2tog through back loop, K1, K2tog, YO; repeat from * to last 2 stitches , K1, sm, k 1.

Row 6: : K 1, sm, Purl across to next marker, sm, k 2 

Row 7: K 2, sm,  K2, *YO, sl 2 sts purlwise, K1, pass 2 slipped sts over stitch just knit, YO, K3; repeat from * to last 6 stitches, YO sl 2 sts purlwise, K1, pass 2 slipped sts over stitch just knit, YO, K2, sm, k 1.

Row 8:  K 1, sm, Purl across to next marker, sm, k 2

Repeat these 8 rows once more. Then rows 1 to 7.  

Knit 6 rows. Remove markers on last row.

This project will have 1 more stitch for it, sorry it's taken me so long to get these on the site.

I have decided to start posting the lace sampler to my blog. This sample has been an on going project on my knitting and crochet list since mid 2018. I will post a new stitch each month for at least 16 to 17 months or more. Hope you enjoy it. You will find each new stitch under the heading for Lace Stitch Knitting Sampler and listed below this posting are the past stitches.  

Materials Needed

1 row counter

2 stitch markers

1 pair Size 9 knitting needles 

Red Heart Designer Sport weight yarn two or more skeins in a very light color so that the stitches will show up nice.

1 U shaped cable needle

Knitting notes: Please read all directions first before starting the Lace Project.

1.   I am using 3101 Ivory. It is easier to see the stitches using a light color.

2.   I use a U shaped cable needle with the stitches, they do not fall off as easy as the other kinds.

3.   The multiples of lace stitches being worked between edge stitches will be different for each lace stitch, the edge stitch markers will be moving through out the lace project. So please remember to remove or add them as I say in each lace stitch pattern.

4.   All patterns start on the right side of your knitting, if your next pattern does not start on the right side, knit one more row.

5.   I will try and add a new stitch each month until the end of the project. At this point, I do not know when this  will end. I am up to lace stitch 23.
