Materials:

3.5oz dk green, 1 oz lt green, small amount black. (I used Red Heart Sport weight)

Crochet hook size H

This pattern is made from the top down, and fits a 25 oz dish detergent bottle. For a smaller bottle simply decrease number of rows.

Head: With dk brown, ch 20, sl st to beg ch.

Row 1: ch 2 *dc in next 5 ch, 2 dc in next ch* Repeat from * to * 3 x's ending dc in next 2 ch, sl st to ch 2.

Row 2: ch 2 * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat form * to * 6 x's sl st to ch 2.

Row 3 – 5: ch 2 dc in ea dc around, sl st to ch 2.

Row 6: ch 2*dc in next 5 dc, dc dec* repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, sl st to ch 2.

Torso and body:

Row 7: ch 2 *dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, sl st to ch 2.

Row 8-17: repeat row 3

Nose: Ch 8; Dc in third ch from hook and in ea ch across, ch 3 turn, dc in ea dc across, ch 1, work 10 dc in 4^th dc from hook, sl st to end. Ch 1 turn, sls lt in ea dc across and down side. Finish off. Make 2. on top one, with white, work sl st in front loop only of ea st around long and curved edges. Sew in place making a curve on third an d 4^th rows.

Eyes: (make 2)

With black, Ch 2, 8 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, sl st to first sc finish off, leaving 1 inch tail at both ends. Using tails tie to post of dc on 2^nd row of head.

Arms:

With dk green, ch 15, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in ea ch across. Finish off. Twist a few times and stitch ends to side of torso.

Tail: Ch 8, sc in 2^nd ch from hook, and in ea ch across, *ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across , sc dec at,  end,* rep from * to * until one sc on hook,   (Ch 8, sc in 2^nd ch from hook, and in ea ch across, *ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across , sc dec at end, sl st to first “spike'), rep fro ( to ) 3 x's. Don't worry if piece is not all on one side. At end, sl st to top of back head, ch 1 turn and work {sc in ea stitch to corner of first spike, 3 sc in top, sc down side,. Turning so next 'spike is right side up work long sc into dc of body}, rep form {to} joining with sl st to bottom. Weave in ends.

Head: With Black, ch 20, sl st to beg ch.

Row 1: ch 2 *dc in next 5 ch, 2 dc in next ch* Repeat from * to * 3 x's ending dc in next 2 ch, sl st to ch 2.

Row 2: ch 2 * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat form * to * 6 x's sl st to ch 2.

Row 3 – 4: ch 2 dc in ea dc around, sl st to ch 2.

Row 5: ch 2*dc in next 5 dc, dc dec* repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, dc dec, sl st to ch 2.

Torso and body:

Row 6: ch 2, dc in next 4 dc, yo insert hook in next st, pull up red, finish dc with red. Drop black to back of work. Working over black with red, (2 dc in next st, dcin next 5 dc) 2 x's, dc in next 4 dc, yo insert hook in next st, pull up black, finish dc. Drop red to back and working over red with black, 2dc in next st, dc in next 5 dc, sl st to top of ch 2.

Row 7: (pattern row) : ch 2, dc in ea dc around changing colors over previous color changes, sl st to ch 2.

8-18 repeat row 7.

Note: you can work the dots in by changing colors on the back side, or by stitching them on later.

Stitch facial features and make two sets of arms. Stitch in place in sides of body just before red begins.

Materials:

2 oz ea yellow and black , 1 oz white (I used Red Heart Sportweight)

This pattern is made from the top down, and fits a 25 oz dish detergent bottle. For a smaller bottle simply decrease number of rows.

Head: With Yellow ch 20, sl st to beg ch.

Row 1: ch 2 *dc in next 5 ch, 2 dc in next ch* Repeat from * to * 2 x's ending dc in next 2 ch, sl st to ch 2.

Row 2: ch 2 * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat form * to * 6 x's sl st to ch 2.

Row 3 – 4: ch 2 dc in ea dc around, sl st to ch 2.

Row 5: ch 2*dc in next 5 dc, dc dec* repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, dc dec, sl st to ch 2.Drop yellow to back of work (Do not finish off.)

Torso and body:

Row 6: Join black, ch 2 *dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * repeat from * to * 4 x's rnding dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, sl st to ch 2.

Row 7: repeat row 3

Row 8 – 10: Repeat rows 5 – 7 changing back to yellow and dropping black to back of work at beg row 9.

Row 11-17 : repeat row 3 with following color pattern: 1 tow black, 2 rows yellow, ending with 1 row of black.

Eyes: (make 2)

With White Ch 2, 8 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, sl st to first sc finish off, leaving 1 inch tail at both ends. Using tails tie to post of dc on 2^nd row of head.

Feelers: (make 2)

With Black Leaving a 3 inch tail at beg, ch 9, in 2^nd ch from hook work 4 sc, sc in ea sc across. Finish off leaving 3 inch tail. Pull both tails through beg ch of head above eyes,pull through center of eye and back through one sc of eye and weave into inside of head.

Wings: (make 2)

With White Ch 4 leave tail long enough for stitching in place.

Row 1: sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in ea ch across

Row 2: Ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across

Row 3: ch 1 turn, sc in 1^st sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in last sc

Row 4: ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across

Row 5: ch 1 turn, sc in 1^st 2 sc, ch 1 sc in last 2 sc

Row 6: ch 1 turn, sc in 1^st 2 sc, sc in ch 1 sp and in last 2 sc

Row 7: ch 1 turn, sc in 1^st 2 sc, 2 sc in in next sc, sc in last 2 sc,

Row 8: ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across

Row 9: ch 1 trun, sc in 1^st 3 sc, ch 1 sc in last 3 sc

Row 10: ch 3 turn, sl st in sch 1 sp, ch 3 and in same space as sl st, work 10 dc , slst to end of row 9.

Row 11: ch 1 turn, sc in ea dc and in top of ch3, sl st to 1^st scoff row 9 finish off and weave in ends. Sew in place on 2^nd row of torso.

Arms:

With black ch 23, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in ea ch across. Finish off. Twist a few times and stitch ends to side of torso.

Materials:

This pattern is made from the top down, and fits a 25 oz dish detergent bottle. For a smaller bottle simply decrease number of rows.

 

Head: With pink, ch 20, sl st to beg ch.

Row 1: ch 2 *dc in next 5 ch, 2 dc in next ch* Repeat from * to * 3 x's ending dc in next 2 ch, sl st to ch 2.

Row 2: ch 2 * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat form * to * 6 x's sl st to ch 2.

Row 3 – 5: ch 2 dc in ea dc around, sl st to ch 2.

Row 6: ch 2*dc in next 5 dc, dc dec* repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, sl st to ch 2.

Torso and body:

Row 7: ch 2 *dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, sl st to ch 2.

Row 8-9: repeat row 3

Row 10: repeat row 5

Row 11: repeat row 6

Row 12-17: repeat row 3

Row 18: ch 1, sc in ea dc around, sl st to ch1 finish off.

Nose: Ch 4; join with a sl st to form ring

Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 11 more dc in the ring, sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (12 dc)

Round 2: ch 3, bpdc on ea dc  of ea dc around, sl st to ch 3

Round 3: ch 3, dc in ea dc around, sl st to ch 3. finish off, leaving end long enough to sew in place. With black stitch mouth and nostrils in place. Stitch to front between rows 4-5. 

( I FOUND IT EASIER TO STUFF IT FIRST A LITTLE BIT.)

Eyes: (make 2)

With black, Ch 2, 8 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, sl st to first sc finish off, leaving 1 inch tail at both ends. Using tails tie to post of dc on 2^nd row of head.

Ears: (make 2)

 Ch 8, sc in 2^nd ch from hook, and in ea ch across, *ch 1 turn, 2 sc in 1^st sc, sc in ea sc across, 2 sc on last sc, *ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across , sc dec at,  end,* rep from * to * until one sc on hook. Finish off and tie in place on top of head.

Arms:

With pink, ch 15, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in ea ch across. Finish off. Twist a few times and stitch ends to side of torso. (optional)Tail:. Sc around pipe cleaner from end to end, ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc, Twist to create curl. Sew to back of pig.

Dish Soap Bottle Cover

This can also be used as a wine bottle bag.

Materials:  Bernat cotton (I used a matte turquoise)

Hook:  5.00 mm

Stitches:  chain, single crochet, double crochet

Pattern:

1.     Ch 25, sc in 2^nd st from hook and ea st to end, 3 sc in last st, sc in ea st of other side of foundation row, 3 sc in first stitch. Ch 1. Do not join with sl st.

2.     Sc in ea st to end, 3 sc in end st; sc down other side in ea st, 3 sc in first sc. Ch 2. Do not join with sl st.

3.     Dc in st totally around, DO NOT JOIN, until “bottle” is 10 inches tall.

4.     Dc in nx st, (ch 1, sk 1 st, dc in nx), rep around, DO NOT JOIN WITH SL ST.

5.     Dc in EACH st for 2 rounds, sl st to last st and fasten off.

Chain Ribbon:  you may substitute this for regular ribbon OR, ch 70, fasten off.  Be sure to tie ends in a knot so stitches don't fall away.
