Strawberry Cream Towel Toppers


Strawberry Cream Towel Toppers 
@1999 By N.L. Banks

Materials Needed:
Peaches and Cream by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc.

        2 balls White #1

        1 ball Strawberry Cream # 144

        1 Wild Plum colored hand towel, cut in half and hemmed

        2- 1 1/8” buttons                                     G Hook

Stitches Used:    Single crochet, Double crochet,   Slip stitch         

Rw 1 With white, ch 9 to form ring.

Rw 2  Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, turn. Do not join.

Rw 3-6 Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn.

Rw 7 Ch1, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc, repeat across row. Turn (9 sc)

Rw 8-15, Ch 1, sc across row, turn.

Rw 16 Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc across row. Turn (18 sc)

Rw 17-18, Ch 1, 1 sc in each sc across row. Turn

Row 19 Ch 2, 2dc in same place,*ch 1, sk 1 sc, 2 dc. ch 2, 2 dc in same sc, (shell made), ch 1, sk 1 sc, 3 dc in next sc.* Repeat from * to * across row, ending with sk 1 sc, 2 dc in next sc, 1 dc in last sc. Turn. (5 groups of 3 dc & 4 shells)

Row 20 Ch 2, sk first dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc,* ch 1, shell over shell, ch 1, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc group.* Repeat from * to *. Turn.

Rw 21-24  Repeat row 20. At end of row 24, fasten off white, attach strawberry cream.

Rw 25  Repeat row 20. Do not turn. Ch 1, 2 sc in corner, sc up side of  topper, sc around unworked part of beg ch 9, sc down other side of topper, work sc in each stitch across bottom of topper, slip stitch to beg of row 25. Fasten off, weave ends in. Sew button to middle of row 18. Hand sew towel topper to hemmed end of hand towel, leaving strawberry shells free.

Repeat for second towel.

Crochet Country Garden Towel Topper

Materials:

2 balls Cream #3, 
1 Country Garden #167 Peaches & Crème by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc.

1 Hunter green hand towel, cut in cut and hemmed

2 --1 1/8” buttons    1 G hook 






Rw 1 with cream, ch 9 to form ring.

Rw 2, ch 1, 6sc in ring, Turn. DO NOT JOIN.

Rw 3-6  Ch1, 1sc in each sc, turn.

Rw 7  Ch 2, 1 dc in same place, 1 dc in each of next 2 sc., 2 dc in next sc.1 dc next 1 sc, 2dc in next sc. Turn. (9 dc, beg ch 2 counts as 1 dc.)

Rw 8 (front) Ch 2, FPS around next dc, 1 dc in next dc across. Turn. (4 posts & 5 dc)
            
Rw 9  (back) Ch 2, BPS around post stitch, 1 dc in next dc, across. Turn (4 posts & 5 dc)

Rw 10  Repeat row 8

Rw 11  Repeat row 9

Rw 12  Ch 2, 1 FPS around next post stitch, 2 dc, FPS around next post stitch, across. Turn   (4 posts, with 2 dc between each post)

Rw 13  Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 2 dc, BPS around next post stitch, across. Turn (4 posts & 8 dc)         

Rw 14 Ch 2, FPS around next post stitch, 3 dc, FPS around next post stitch, across. Turn (4post & 11dc)

Rw 15 Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 3 dc, BPS around next post stitch across. Turn   (4 posts & 11dc)

Rw 16  Ch 2, FPS around next post stitch, 4 dc, FPS around next post stitch across. Turn.(4 posts & 14dc.

Rw 17 Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 4 dc, BPS around next post stitch across. Turn. (4 posts & 14dc.)

Rw 18 Ch 2, FPS around next post, 5 dc, FPS around next post stitch across. Turn.  (4 posts & 17dc)

Rw 19  Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 5dc, BPS around next post stitch across. Turn. (4 posts & 17 dc)

Rw 20 Ch 2, FPS around next post stitch, 2 dc, FPS around next dc, 2 dc, FPS around next post stitch, across. Turn (7 posts & 14dc)

Rw 21 Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 2 dc, BPS around next post stitch across. Turn. (7 posts & 14 dc)

Rw 22 Ch 2, FPS around next post stitch, 3 dc, FPS around post stitch, across. Turn. (7 posts & 20 dc)

Rw 23 Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 3 dc, BPS around next post stitch, across. Turn.(7 posts & 20 dc)

Rw 24 (front) Ch 2, FPS around next post stitch, 4 dc, FPS around next post stitch. (7 post & 26 dc). 

Rw 25 Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 4 dc, BPS around next post stitch, across. Fasten off cream, turn. (7 posts & 26 dc.)                   

Rw 26, With right side (posts) facing you, attach Country Gardens to first dc of row 25, Ch 1, sc in same place, 5 dc in top of first post stitch, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, skip 2 dc, 5 dc in top of next post stitch, across. Working on other side now, sc across to the beginning (chain 9), of row 1, work 9 sc around the unworked part of the chain. Work down the other side of topper with sc; join with slip stitch to beg ch 1 of row 26. Fasten off. Sew button on row 14. Hand sew towel topper to towel, leaving shell edge free.   

Repeat for second towel.

Materials:
Peaches and Cream Cotton Yarn    by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc.                        
1 1/2 balls Mauve #48    1 ball Winterberry  # 170      "G" Hook
1 Jubilee hand towel, in blue, cut in half and hemmed, (available at walmart)

Stitches used:    s/s, single crochet, double crochet

Towel Topper


Rw 1 with Mauve ch 8 to form ring, ch 1, 6sc in ring, turn, do not join.

Rw 2-3 ch 2, 1sc in each sc across row, turn.

Rw 4 ch1, 1 sc in first sc, *2sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, turn. (9sc)

Rw 5-6 ch 1, 1 sc in each sc across, turn.

Rw 7  repeat row 4 (13 sc ), turn.

Rw 8-17 ch 1, 1 sc in next sc across row, turn.

Rw 18 ch 1, * 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, turn. (19sc)

Rw 19-21 ch 1, 1 sc in each sc across row, turn.

Rw 22  *ch 4, skip 2 sc, 1 sc in next * repeat from * across row, turn.

Rw 23  s/s to first ch 4, ch 3, 2 dc in ch 4 sp, *ch 1, 3dc, in next ch 4 sp, repeat from * across row, fasten off, attach winterberry, turn.

Rw 24  * ch 4, 1sc in ch 1 sp, repeat from * across row, end ch 4, sc in last dc, turn.

Rw 25  s/s to ch 4 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3dc in ch 4 sp, * ch 1, 1 dc in sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch2 , 3 dc in next ch 4 sp, repeat from * across row, turn.

Rw 26  s/s to ch 2sp, ch 3, 2dc, ch 2, 3 dc in ch 2 sp, * ch 1, 2dc in next dc, ch 1, 3dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch 4 sp, repeat from * across row, fasten off, turn.

Rw 27  attach Mauve to ch 2 sp, ch 3, 2dc, ch 2, 3 dc in ch 2 sp, * ch 1, 1 bps around next dc, ch 1, 1 bps around next dc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 2, 3dc in next ch 2 sp, repeat from * across, turn.

Rw 28  s/s to ch 2sp, ch 3, 2dc ch2, 3dc in ch 2 sp, * ch 1, 1 fps around post, ch 1, 1 fps around next post, ch 1, 3dc, ch 3, 3dc in next ch 2  sp, repeat from * across row, turn.

Rw 29  s/s to ch3, ch3, 2dc, ch 3, 3dc in ch 3sp, * ch 2, 1 bps around next post, ch 1, 1bps around next post, ch 2, 3dc, ch3, 3dc in next ch 3 sp, repeat from * across row, turn.

Rw 30 attach winterberry to ch 3sp, ch 3, 2dc, ch 3, 3dc in ch 3sp, * ch2, 1 fps around post, ch 1, 1 fps around next post, ch 2, 3dc, ch 3, 3dc in next ch 3 sp, repeat from * across row, fasten off.

Finishing towel topper:
Sew topper to hemmed edge of towel, sew bottom to row 15, repeat for second towel topper.

Mom's Kitchen Fancy Skirt Towel Topper

G hook
1 ball Peaches and Crème Cotton Yarn 
1 large button
1 tea towel

ch 10 to form ring, join with slip stitch, ch 3, do not turn.

Rw 1: 5 dc in ring, turn, (6 dc, ch 3 counts as 1 dc).

Rw 2: ch 3, 1 dc in same place, 1 dc in each dc across row, 1 dc in top of turning chain, turn. (6 dc)

Rw 3 to 13 repeat row 2. Ch 3 turn ( 6 dc)

Rw 14: repeat row 2, inc 1 dc at beginning and end, ch 3, (8dc)

Start of Skirt.

Rd 15: working in front loops only this round, ch 3, 2 dc in same place, and  work 2 dc in front loops across row. At end turn and now work on the same row the other side again working the front loops only of the dc's on row 14. (, ch 3 counts as 1 dc, 27 dc). Join with slip stitch.

Rd 16:  ch 3, 1 dc in same place, *1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * around, end 1 dc in last dc, join with slip stitch, (39 dc)

Rd 17: Repeat round 16 (57 dc). Join

Rd 18: ch 3, 1 dc in same place, *1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from around, end 1 dc in last dc Join. (75 dc)

Edging:

Rd 19: : ch 3, 1 dc in same place, *skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, ch 3, 1dc in same place, repeat from * around, end Sl st in bottom of first ch-3. Fasten off and weave in end.

Finishing: need tea towel and large button

Turn skirt over, attach yarn to either side of row 15, ch 12 attach yarn to other side of row 15, then single crochet in chain across row. This is where you hang the tea towel. Weave in the ends, fasten off. Sew button to middle of row 14.

Peaches & Crème by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc

1 ball white# 1, 2 balls lemon #123, 1 ball lemon-lime #186
2 finger tip towels with one end hemmed or 1 hand towel, cut in half and hemmed.
2    White 1 1/8”  button.
 G hook

 

Stitches used:  Single crochet, Double crochet, Half double crochet, Triple Treble Front Post , 

For Towel topper.

Rw 1   with Lemon, ch 9 to form ring.

Rw 2    ch 1, 6 sc in ring, turn. DO NOT JOIN!

Rw 3-6  Ch 1, sc in each sc across row. Turn.

Rw 7     Ch 1, 2 sc in next sc, sc to last sc, 2 sc in last sc. Turn.

Rw 8-9   Ch 1, sc across row, turn.

Rw 10    Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn. (10 sc)

Rw 11-12  Ch 1, sc across row, turn.

Rw 13    Ch 1, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn. (12 sc)

Rw 14-15  Ch 1, sc across row, turn.

Rw 16   Ch 1, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 5 sc, 1 sc in last sc. (16 sc)

Rw 17-18  Ch 1, sc across row, turn.

Rw 19    Ch 2, 1 dc in same place, 2 dc in next sc, 1 dc in next sc. Repeat   from * to *. (24dc)

Rw 20   Ch 2, working through back loops only, * yo, draw up a loop in same place, yo, draw up a loop in next sc, yo and draw through five loops, ch 1 *. Repeat from * to *.

Rw 21   Ch 2, 1 hdc in each ch1 and each stitch across. Fasten off Lemon Turn, (24hdc).

Rw 22   Attach Lemon-Lime. Ch3, 1 dc in next dc, yo 4 times, post stitch around 3 dc of row 19, * skip dc behind post, and working in BACK LOOPS ONLY, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, yo 4x, skip next 3 dc of row 19, post around next dc*. Repeat from * to * End 1 dc in next 2 dc. Fasten off Lemon-Lime. (6 posts) Turn.

Rw 23, with Lemon, and working in front loops, 1 dc across row. Turn. (24 dc)

Rw 24   Repeat row 20, turn.

Rw 25   Repeat row 21, turn. Fasten off, attach Lemon-Lime.

Rw 26   Working in back loops only, ch 3, 1 dc in next 4 dc, yo 4x, skip 4 dc of row 23, post around next dc, * skip dc behind post, 1 dc in next 3 dc on row 26, yo 4x, skip 3 dc on row 23, post around next dc*  Repeat from * to *, end 1 dc in last 4 dc. Fasten off Lemon-Lime. Do NOT  TURN.

Rw 27    Attach white, ch 1, 2 sc in same place, sc up side of towel topper and sc in unworked part of beg ch 9 of row 1, sc along other side of towel topper and across bottom, placing 3 sc in each corner.  Join with slip stitch. Fasten off white.

Rw 28-29   Attach Lemon, ch 2, hdc around, placing 3 hdc in each corner. Fasten off Lemon. Weave in the ends, sew button in middle of row 16, and sew topper to towel.
