November 2011 Stitch of the Month Knit

This works up into an easy and pretty dishcloth. Just cast on 26 for a small one or 29 for a med one.

 

Work with a multiple of 3 stitches. plus 2.

For sample cast on 17 (3 x 5 = 15 + 2 = 17)

Row 1: P 2, * with yarn in back. slip 1 as if to k. p 2 *: repeat from * to .

Row 2: K 2, * with yarn in front. slip 1 as if to p. k 2 *: repeat from * to .

Row 3: Knit

Row 4: Purl

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern until square.

Note: if you have been making the stitches of the month, you can crochet around these and make an afghan out of them.
