Rose Sachet


Group Project 2007 Rose Sachet Crochet Thread.

Materials:
7 crochet hook,
1 ball red or rose
1 ball green,
1 ball Queen’s Lace (main)
1 sewing needle or use sewing machine, thread to match main and about 26 inches of ¼ wide ribbon to match main.


Stitches used: sc, dc, hdc, treble
Bag: with main, ch 87.

Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in next ch, *skip 3 ch, in next ch work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc for a shell, skip 3 ch, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch, repeat from * across, end last repeat with 1 dc in each of last 3 ch, ch 3, turn. Turning-ch counts as 1 dc in next row.

Row 2: Work 1 dc in each dc and 1 shell ( 3dc, ch2, 3dc) in each ch-2 sp across row. Ch 3, turn to count as first st on next row.
Repeat Row 2 - 20 times. Fasten off.

Flower:
With Red or Rose, ch 6, join with slip stitch.

Rd 1: 1sc in ring, *2 dc, 2 sc in ring, repeat from * 4x, end with 2dc, 1sc in ring, join to first sc. 5 2 dc groups.

Rd 2: sc to back of base of first dc, *ch 3, skip 1dc, sc in base of next dc, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to first sc. 5 chain 3 spaces.

Rd 3: * 1sc , 5dc, 1sc * in first 3 ch space, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to first sc. 5 – 5dc groups.
Rd 4: slip stitch to back of petal, * sc in in first dc, ch, 4, sc in last dc of petal, repeat from * around. 5 chain 4 space.

Rd 5: * 1sc, 1hdc, 7 dc, 1hdc, 1sc * in first 4 ch space, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to first sc.

Rd 6: sc to back of base of 1st dc, *ch 3, sc in base of last dc of same pedal, ch 3, sc in first dc of next petal, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to first sc. 10- 3ch spaces. Fasten off.

Rd 7: attach green to any ch 3 space, * 2sc, 2dc, 1 treble, 2dc, 2sc in each ch 3 space around, join to first sc, fasten off.

Make 2 more flowers. Set aside.

Finishing:

Sew the flowers to the front three center columns of shells, starting 4 rows below top. With roses on the inside, sew back side seams together. Fold piece so that the back seam is in the center, and sew bottom together. Turn bag inside out. Run ribbon thru 3rd row of shells with the 5 dc behind the ribbon so that it will tie at side.

Based on a multiple of 5 chain plus 4.

For sample: chain 19

Row 1: 2 dc in 6th ch from hook, ch 2, 2 dc in same ch, * skip 4 ch; 2 dc, ch 2 & 2 dc in next ch for a shell, repeat from * across, end skip 2 ch, 1 dc in last ch, ch 3, turn.

Row 2: 2 dc, ch 2 & 2 dc in each ch 2 sp across row, end 1 dc in top of turning-ch, ch 3, turn.

Repeat Row 2 for pattern.
