ski hats again

I have to knit ski hats, so I made a friend of my sister one for this coming christmas. It's blue with many other colors added in, again my own pattern. And then started a tam for myself. Never made one before, it will have the deceases at the top. So far, looking really nice. I should be working on my knitting and crochet list, making patterns and stitches, lol. Below are pictures of both of them.

How to do The Crazy Stitch



How to do The Crazy Stitch

You will need two colors of cotton yarn, and a G hook. This pattern will make a dishcloth.

Ch 32,
Row 1: 3 dc in 4th from hook, * skip 3 ch, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 3 dc in same place, repeat from * across row, end 1 sc in last chain, ch 3, turn. (see picture A)



Row 2: 3 dc in same place, * skip 3 dc, 1 sc in 3 ch space, ch 3, 3 dc in same ch 3 space place, repeat from * across, end 1 sc in last 3 ch space, ch 3, turn. (See picture B)




Repeat row 2 for length desired, OR work row 2 6x, fasten off, attach second color in first unworked loop on opposite side of beginning chain, (see picture C) *Ch3, 3 dc in same space, 1 sc in next loop where the 3 dc of row 1 are, repeat from * , end sc in last loop, ch 3, turn



Repeat row 2 7x, fasten off, attach second color, evenly space sc's around, placing 3 sc in each 3 ch space, join fasten off.

Materials:
E hook
Size 7 hook
1 ball Honeysuckle Rayon Chenille Article 810 Color #49 Blackberry
few yards Honeysuckle Cotton Metallic yard Article 2001 Color #401 Dazzling Diamonds

Directions
With E hook and blackberry, sc around barrette, cover it fully, set aside.
For Bow:
With blackberry, chain 4, join to form ring,
Rw 1: ch 3, 6 dc in ring, ch 3, turn.

Rw 2: 1 dc in same place, 2 dc in each dc across row, ch 3, turn.

Rw 3: 1 dc in same place, 1 dc in next 3 dc, dec over next 2dc, 1 ddc in next 5dc, ch 3, turn.

Rw 4: 1 dc in same place, 1 dc in next 4 dc, dec over next 2dc, 1 dc inext 3 dc, ch 3, turn.

Rw 5: 1 dc in same place, 1 dc in each dc across row, fasten off.

Attach thread to ring, repeat rows 1 to 5, fasten off.

With 7 hook, attach metallic thread, to ring on row 1, ch 1, sc around bow, placing 2 sc in each dc across top of bow, 2sc in ring, and work other side of bow, fasten off.
With 7 hook and metallic thread, ch 12, join to form ring, 1 hdc in same place, 1 hdc in each chain around, join, fasten off. Join thread to any unwork loop, ch ch 3, 1 hdc in each loop around, join fasten off, slip this over bow, work in to the middle of the bow, sew bow to barrette.

1 ball Peaches & Crème 4 ply worsted weight Cotton yarn, any color.

Cast on 37.

Row 1 - 3: K1, P1, K1 across row.

Row 4: k1, p1, k1, (pm), knit to last 3 stitches, (pm) k1, p1, k1.

Row 5: k1, p1, k1, purl 31, k1, p1, k1.

Row 6: k1, p1, k1, *yo, k2 tog across to last 4 stitches, k2, p1, k1

Row 7: k1, p1, k 33, p1, k1.

Row 8: k1, p1, k 33, p1, k1.

Row 9: k1, p1, k1, purl 31, k1, p1, k1.

Row 10: k1, p1, k 2 *yo, k2 tog across, end ,k1, p1, k1.

Row 11: k1, p1, k 33, p1, k1

Repeat rows 4 to 11, 6 times, then rows 4 & 5 one time. Do rows 1 to 3, bind off, and weave in threads.
