Dishcloth


September 2012 Pattern of the Month Knit

This dishcloth is worked best in a solid color. It's also one of my favorite to make. Hope you enjoy it.

Materials:
Size 8 knitting needles,
2 markers
1 row counter
1 ball Peaches & Creme Cotton Yarn, any color



Note: pm =  place marker, (slip markers as you come to them)

Cast on 40 stitches

Rows 1-4 Knit

Row 5: K4, pm, (place marker), *K3, P1, repeat from * to last 4 stitches, pm, K4

Row 6: K4, *K1, P3, repeat from * to next marker, K4.

Row 7:  K4, *yo, slip 1, K2 tog, psso, yo, P1, repeat from * to next marker, K4

Row 8: K4, *K1,P3, repeat from * to next marker, K4. (40 stitches)

Repeat from row 5 until you have completed about 8 1/2 inches from
beginning. K 4 rows, bind off, weave in the threads.

Materials needed:

Size 8 Knitting needles
1 Ball Sugar and Cream County Stripes

Cast on 34

Rows 1 & 2: Knit

Row 3: K 3, Purl to last 3 stitches, K 3

Row 4: K3, ( yo, K 2 tog across to last 3 stitches) , K 3

Row 5:  K 3, (Purl to last 3 stitches), K 3

Row 6: Knit.

Repeat rows 1 to 6 seven times.

Then row 1 and 2 once.

Bind off weave threads in.

1 row counter
1 ball Peaches and Crème Color #21 Shrimp or color of your choice

Notes: Edging stitches are in BLUE. On the Pink dishcloth the edging was just knitted. This pattern is not for beginners.

Cast on 37.

Rows 1 to 7: K 1, P1 across row, place markers after the first 5 and before the last 5 stitches. Slip markers as you come to them.

Now start pattern (start marker at row 1.)

Row 1 (RS): K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, *(k3, p1) twice, k1, p1; rep from *, end k3, p1, k3, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1,

Row 2: K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, *(p3, k1) twice, p1, k1; rep from *, end p3, k1, p3, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1,

Row 3: K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, k2, p1, k1, p1, *(k3, p1) twice, k1, p1; rep from *, end k2, k1, P1, K1, P1, K1,

Row 4: K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, p2, k1, p1, k1, *(p3, k1) twice, p1, k1; rep from *, end p2, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1,
