This is a place for my knitting, sewing, crochet designs and projects. I have been knitting since I was 4, and crocheting since age 19 and I have starting weaving again, along with sewing. So this is where I will be posting those patterns too.

Ann's Barrette
Ann's Barrette @2004 By BarbaraAnn Couturier
Materials:
Approximately 1 ounce of 4 ply worsted weight yarn
56 pony beads
3 inch 3 piece barrette taken apart
Yarn needle
G crochet hook
(Chain 3 counts as 1 dc)
Thread the 56 pony beads onto the yarn with a yarn needle. Push them down the yarn as you work until they are needed. Attach yarn to barrette with a sl st, then work 8 sc across the barrette. Barrette will not be full at this point.
Rnd 1: Turn, ch 3 and 4 dc in front loop first st, 3 dc in front loop of next 6 sts, 5 dc in front loop of next st. Working in unused loops, 5 dc in next st, 3 dc in next 6 sts, 5 dc in last st. Join with sl st to join. (56 dc)
You can now put the barrette back together.
Rnd 2: Ch 3 and 1 dc in first st, 2 dc in each stitch to end. Join with sl st. (112 dc)
Rnd 3: Ch 3, sl pony bead up to hook and ch 3, sc in next st, ch 6, sc in next st. Continue this all around barrette.
Join with sl st in first sc. Hold the barrette upside down grasping the metal part and shake to fluff. If you want a fuller barrette you can start with 12 sts on the barrette. Remember, you will need more pony beads, 80.

The Black Box
I was sitting on the love seat when he came in. He loaded the big black gun from the bottom, and pulled the top of it back, putting a shell in the chamber, then laid the gun on the trunk. I stood up to leave, he picked it up and pointed at me. I sat down. He laid the gun back down on the trunk. I stood up to leave, he picked it up and pointed at me. I sat down. He laid the gun back down on the trunk. Every time I stood up, he picked that gun up and pointed at me and every time I sat down he put the gun back down on that old trunk. It felt like it when on for hours. Finally I walked off, afraid that he would shoot me in the back and blame one of the kids. I went into the bedroom and cried. I still have that old trunk, him I kicked out not to long after that.
