Group Project Square #5

This pattern uses Elmore-Pisgah's Double Worsted Weight Yarn.
You can use two strands of yarn together in place of the double worsted weight yarn.
Stitches used:
Double Crochet = dc Front Post Stitch = FPS Back Post Stitch = BPS

Row:1 ch 32, 1 dc in 3rd ch form hook, skip 1 ch, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in next ch, slip 1 ch, *1dc in next ch, skip 1 ch, 1 dc, ch, 1 dc in next ch (shell made) repeat from * across row, end
slip 1 ch, 1 dc in last 2dc. Ch 3, turn.

Row: 2 FPS around first dc, * in next 2 ch sp, work 1 dc, ch 1 dc, (shell made- shell over shell) FPS around next dc, repeat from* across row, end FPS around next dc, 1 dc in last dc, ch3, turn.

Row: 3 *BPS around post stitch, shell over shell, repeat from * across row, end BPS around post, 1 dc in last dc, ch 3, turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 8x, total 16 rows. After row 16, ch 1 turn.

Row: 4 1sc in each post stitch, dc & ch 2 space across row, fasten off.

For sample, chain 20.

Multiple of 2 sts.
(ADD 2 FOR BASE CHAIN)

1st row (right side): 2dc into 4th ch from hook, * skip 1 ch, 2dc into next ch; rep from * to last 2ch, skip 1 ch, 1 dc into last ch, turn.

2nd row: 3 ch, * skip 2 sts, 2dc between 2nd skipped st and next st;( 2dc into the 2 dc in row below, stitch explained) rep from * to last 2 sts, skip 1 st, 1 dc into top of turning ch, turn.

Rep 2nd row for pattern until you have a square.
