Materials:

7 balls Cream #3  4 balls Country Garden #167  Peaches & Crème by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc.

1 G hook

Rw 1  With cream, ch 2, 6 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, join with a slip stitch.

Rw 2  Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, join with a slip stitch. (12sc)

Rw 3  Ch 1, sc in same place as ch 2, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc around, join with a slip stitch. . (18sc)

Rw 4  Ch 1, 1 sc in same place, *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 2 sc, *. Repeat from * to * around. End 2 sc in last sc. , join with a slip stitch. (24 sc)

Rw 5    Ch 1, sc in same place, 1 sc in next 2 sc, * 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 3 sc. * Repeat from * to * around. , join with a slip stitch. (30 sc)

Rw 6   Ch 2, 1 dc in same place, 1 dc in next 4 sc, * 2 dc in next sc, 1 dc in next 5 sc. *  Repeat from * to * around. , join with a slip stitch. (36 dc, ch 2 counts as one dc, now and throughout.)

Rw 7   Ch 2, FPS around next dc, * 1 dc in next dc, FPS around next dc. * Repeat from * to * around., join with a slip stitch. (18 posts & 18 dc).

Rw 8 Ch 2, FPS around first post, 2 dc, post around next post. Repeat around., join with a slip stitch. (18 posts & 36 dc.)

Rw 9  Ch 2, post around first post, 3 dc, post around next post. Repeat around. , join with a slip stitch. (18 posts & 54dc)

Rw 10 Ch2, post around first post, 4 dc, post around next post. Repeat around. , join with a slip stitch. (18 posts & 72 dc.)

Rw 11  Repeat round 10., join with a slip stitch.

Rw 12 Ch 2, post around first post, 5 dc, post round nest post. Repeat around., join with a slip stitch. (18 posts & 90 dc).

Rw 13  Repeat row 12., join with a slip stitch.

Rw 14  Ch 2, post around first post, 2dc, post around next dc, 2 dc, post around next post. , join with a slip stitch. (36 post with 2 dc between each front post stitch.)

Rw 15  Ch 2, post around first post, 3 dc, post around next post. Repeat around. , join with a slip stitch. (36 posts & 108 dc)

Rw 16  Repeat round 15,  join with a slip stitch.                 

Rw 17  Ch 2, post around first post, 4 dc, post around next post. Repeat around, join with a slip stitch. . (36 post & 144dc.)

Rw 18   Repeat row 17.  Fasten off cream., join with a slip stitch.

Rw 19   Attach Country Gardens to any post and ch2, 4 dc in same place,  *skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, skip 1 dc, 5 dc in top of next post * .  Repeat around. , join with a slip stitch. Fasten off Country Gardens.  Repeat for other 3 place mats.

Strawberry Crème Place Mats

4 balls each strawberry & white cotton yarn G hook

Rw 1: With white ch 74, 1 dc in 3 ch from hook, 1 dc in next ch, * ch 1, skip 3 ch, in next ch, work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc (shell made), ch 1, skip 3 ch, 1 dc in next 3 ch (3dc group made).*  Repeat from * to * across. Turn.

Rw 2: Ch 2, Skip first dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, * ch 1, shell over shell, ch 1, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc group *. Repeat from * to *. End 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, 1 dc in top of turning chain. Cut white, attach strawberry cream.

Rws 3 – 4: With strawberry cream, repeat row 2, turn. After row 4, fasten off strawberry cream. Attach white.

Rws 5-7:  With white, repeat row 2. At end of row 7, fasten off white. Attach strawberry cream.

Rw 8:  With strawberry cream, repeat row 2. Fasten off at end off row.

Rw 9:  Attach white to other side of beg. ch 74. Ch 2, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. * Ch 1, skip 3 ch, shell over shell, ch 1,  skip 3 ch, 1 dc in next 3 dc,* Repeat across row, Turn.

Rw 10: Repeat row 2. Fasten off white, attach strawberry cream.

Rws 11-12: With Strawberry cream, repeat row 2, at end of row 12, fasten off strawberry cream.  Attach  white.

Rws 13-15: With white, repeat row 2. At end of row 15, fasten off white. Attach strawberry cream.

Rw 16: With strawberry cream, repeat row 2. Do not turn.

Rw 17: Ch 1, sc around Place Mat, 3 sc in each corner, with 2 sc in each 2 ch space and 1 sc in each 1 ch space. Fasten off strawberry cream and weave ends in.

Stitches used:  Single crochet, Double crochet, Half double crochet, Triple Treble Front Post ,

For place mats,

Rw 1 With Lemon, Chain 63,  1 sc in 2ch from hook, sc across row. Turn.

Rw 2   Ch 2, 1 dc in each sc across, turn. (63dc chain 2 counts as one dc)

Rw 3   Ch 2, working through back loops only, yo, draw up a loop in same place, yo, draw up  a loop in next dc, yo and draw through the 5 loops on hook, ch 1, * yo, draw up a loop in next dc, yo, draw up a loop in next dc, yo, draw through all 5 loops on hook , ch 1 *  repeat from * to * across row, ending 1 dc in top of turning chain. Turn.

Rw 4  Ch 2, 1 hdc in each ch 1 and each stitch across row.  Fasten off Lemon and attach Lemonlime. (63 hdc)

Rw 5   Ch3,  * yo hook 4 times (triple treble front post), post stitch around 2^nd dc of row 2, skip hdc behind post, and working in BACK loops, 1 dc in each of next 3 hdc on row 5 * yo 4 times, skip 3 dc of row 2, post around next dc. (The will be 3 dc between each post on row 2). Repeat from * to *. End, 1 dc in last stitch.  Fasten off Lemon-Lime. Turn. (There will be 16 posts, with 3 dc between each post stitch.) Attach Lemon.

Rw 6   Working in FRONT loops only, repeat row 2. Turn. (63dc)

Rw 7    Repeat row 3.

Rw 8    Repeat row 4. Fasten off Lemon, attach Lemon-Lime. Turn.

Rw 9    Ch 3,  work through back loops only, 1 dc in same place, 1 dc in next 2 hdc. Yo 4 times, skip 3 dc of row 6, post stitch around next dc of row 6, skip dc behind post stitch on row 9, 1 dc  in next 3 hdc, yo 4x, skip 3 dc of row 6, post stitch around next dc on row 6.  * repeat from * to *.  End skip 1 dc behind post, 1 dc in next 2 dc. Fasten off  Lemon-Lime.

Rw 10, With Lemon, working in front loops, repeat row 2. (63 dc.)

Rw 11   Repeat row 3.                                                                             

Rw 12   Repeat row 4, fasten off Lemon, attach Lemon-Lime.

Rw 13   Repeat row 5, using row 10 in place of row 2.

Rw 14   Working in FRONT loops, repeat row 2. (63dc)

Rw 15   Repeat row 3

Rw 16   Repeat row 4 

Rw 17   Attach Lemon-Lime, repeat row 9, using row 14 in place of row 6. Fasten of  Lemon-Lime. Attach Lemon.

Row 18 Working in front loops only, repeat row 2 (63dc)

Row 20  repeat row 4 Fasten off Lemon, attach Lemon-lime
 

Row 21 Using lemon-line, repeat row 5, using row 19 in place of row 2. Fasten off Lemon-lime, attach Lemon

Rw 22  Working in front loops only, repeat row 2. (63dc)

Rw 23   Repeat row 3

Rw 24  Repeat row 4

Rw 25  Using Lemon-lime, repeat row 9, using row 23 in place of row 6.

Rw 26  With Lemon, and working in front loops only, repeat row 2. (63dc)

Rw 27  Repeat row 3.

Rw 28  Repeat row 4.

Rw 29  With Lemon-lime, repeat row 5, using row 27 in place of row 2.

Rw 30  with posts facing you, attach white and sc around the edges. Fasten off white. If place mat will not lay flat, you have to many white sc's, redo row 31, using less sc.

Rw 31 Attach Lemon, ch 2, hdc around, placing 3 hdc in each corner.

Rw 32   Repeat row 32. Fasten off Lemon and weave the ends in.  Repeat row 1-32 for three other place mats.
