dc counting turning ch as 1 dc.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, skip first dc, 1 dc in next
dc, * ch 2, skip next 2 dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc; repeat from * across
row, working last dc in top of turning ch.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, skip first dc, 1 dc in next
dc, * 2 dc in next ch-2 space, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc; repeat from * across
row, working last dc of last repeat in top of turning ch.
Repeat rows 2
and 3 until square or desired length, always ending with row 3. fasten off.
