Sample A     The Rose Stitch

Based on any amount of chains

For sample chain 20

Work a row of single crochet on the found ch, 1 ch, turn.

Row 1: * Work 1 sc inserting hook under both horizontal loops of each st of previous row. Ch 1, turn.

Repeat row 1 for pattern until desired length.

Sample B     The Ridge Stitch

Based on any amount of chains

For sample, chain 17.

Work a row of single crochet on the found ch, 1 ch, turn.

Row 1: * Work 1 sc, inserting hook into back loop of each st of previous row,  1 ch. turn.

Repeat row 1 for pattern until desired length.

Sample C   The Russian Stitch

Based on any amount of chairs

For sample chain 20

This is just like the Rose Stitch, but you cut the yarn or thread at the end of each row and reattach yarn or thread at the beginning next row.

Work a row of single crochet on the found ch, 1 ch, turn.

Row 1: * Work 1 dc inserting hook under both horizontal loops of each st of previous row. Cut yarn or thread, do not turn. 

Repeat row 1 for pattern until desired length.
