Purple, Brown an d Blue in worsted weight yarns. I use Red Heart.

1 row counter, and 10 stitch markers

With yellow and size 5 needles, cast on 100.

Change to size 7 needle, start row 1 of chart, working from right to left. Be sure and twist yarns at the beginning of each round, fasten off colors when needed.

After working chart, complete hat as follows:

Top or crown of hat:
Rd 28 & 29: fasten off the blue and purple, with yellow knit.
Rd 30:  purl  and place markers after every 10th stitch,
Rd 31:  Knit to 2 stitches before marker, knit 2 tog.
Rd 32:  knit
Repeat rounds 31 and 32 until you have 10 stitches left, change to double pointed needles when needed.  Cut yarn leaving a long tail, run yarn through remaining stitches and pull up tight, work ends of yarn in.
