Double Worsted Weight by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc. 2 balls #184 Spring Meadows J hook
this yarn is not made anymore, use 2 strands of worsted weight yarn in its place
Row 1: Chain 23, starting in 4th ch from hook work 1 dc in each st across, ch 2, turn. (21 dc)
Rows 2, 6, 10, 14: 1 hdc in each dc across, end 1 hdc in top of turning ch, ch 2, turn. (21 hdc)
Rows 3, 7, 11, 15: working in back loops, 1 hdc in each hdc across row, end 1 hdc in top of turning ch, chain 3 turn. (21 hdc)
Row 4: 1 dc in next hdc, 1 Back Quadruple Treble Post Stitch (BQTP yo 5x) around 3th dc of row 1, * skip 1 hdc, 1 dc in next 3 hdc, yo 5x, skip 3 dc in row 1, 1 BQTP around next de in row 1, repeat from *, end 1 dc in next dc, 1 dc in top of turning ch, ch 1, turn.
Rows 5, 9, 13: 1 sc in each stitch across row, 1 sc in top of turning ch, ch 2, turn.
Row 8: 1 dc in next 3 hdc, yo 5x, skip 2 dc, 1 post, & 1 dc of row 4,1 BQTP around next dc in row 4, * skip 1 dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc, yo 5x, BQTP around middle stitch between Posts of row 4, repeat from * across row, end 1 dc in next 3 dc, 1 dc in top of turning chain, ch 1, turn.
Row 12: 1 dc in next hdc, yo 5x, 1 BQP around 3th dc of row 8, * skip 1 hdc, 1 dc in next 3 hdc, yo 5x, skip 3 dc in row 8, 1 BQTP around next de in row 1, repeat from *, end 1 dc in next dc, 1 dc in top of turning ch, ch 1, turn.
Row 16: 1 dc in next 3 hdc, yo 5x, skip 2 dc, 1 post, & 1 dc of row 8,1 BQTP around next de in row 8, * skip 1 dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc, yo 5x, BQTP around middle stitch between Posts of row 8, repeat from * across row, end 1 dc in next 3 dc, 1 dc in top of turning chain, ch 3, turn.
Row 18: 3 hdc in same place, 1 hdc evenly around hot mat, place 4 hdc in each corner, join with slip stitch, ch 2.
Row 19: Working in back loops, 1 hdc in each hdc around, join with slip stitch, fasten off. Weave in the ends.
