Materials

One ball each of #10 America's best cotton B lt yellow and A  drk. Yellow.

 size #7 crochet hook;. small snaps; or small amount of vel cro

Stitches used; 

beg= begining,

ch=chain,

sc=single crochet

dc= double crochet

rem remaining, rpt.=repeat

rnd= round

sk= skip

sp= space

sl st=slip stitch

picot  picot st=ch3 st st in base of stitch. * repeat between *

BODICE:

Row 1. beg at waist, with A dark yellow, ch 30. sc in second ch from hook, sc. in each st. across. ch 1 turn.

Row 2; sc in first 7 sts. 2sc in next sc. sc in next 13 sts. 2 sc in next sc. sc in each of the remaining 7 sts.=31 sts. ch 1 turn.

Row 3. sc in first 8 sc's 2 sc in next sc. sc in next 13 sc's 2 sc's in next sc. sc in remaining 8 sc's. ch 1 turn.

Row 4. sc in first 7 sc's. 2 sc in next sc. sc in next 17 sc's 2 sc's in next sc, sc in 7 remaining sc's. ch 1 turn.

Row 5. sc in each sc across. ch 1 turn.

Row 6. sc in first 8 sc's 2 sc's in next sc. sc in next 17 sc's. 2 sc's in next sc. sc in remaining 8 sc's. ch 1 turn.

Row 7 & 8; sc in each sc across. ch 1 turn.

Roow 9. sc in first 8 sc's 2 sc's in next sc. sc in next 19 sc's,2 sc's in next sc.  sc in remaining 8 sc's. ch1 turn

Row 10 & 11;  sc in each sc across. ch1 turn.

Row; 12. sc in first 8 sts,2 sc's in next st. sc in next 6 sc's sk 1 sc. 5 dc's in next 2 sc's sk 1 sc sc in next sc. skip 1 sc  5 dc in each of next 2 sc's, sk 1 sc ,sc in   next 6 sc's.  2 sc in next sc, sc in last 8 sc's.ch 1 turn.

Row 13. sc in first 15 sc's sk 1 sc. dc in next 9 dc's sk 1 dc sc in next sc, sk 1 dc, dc in next 9 dc's. sk 1 sc sc in remaining 15 sc's ch 1 turn.

Row 14.  sc in first 14 sc's, sk 1 sc, dc in next 9 dc's sk 1 sc, dc in next 9 dc's sk1 sc, sc in next 14 sc's. ch 1 turn

Row 15; sc in each st. across. fasten off weave in ends.

 SKIRT;  Row 1; holding top upside down, join color A drk yellow, to right side with a sl st.  sc in same st., and in each st across. ch 3 turn (30 sts.)

Row 2; dc in first sc(increase made)dc in next sc,* 2 dc 's in next sc. dc in next dc, repeat from * across. ch 3  turn

Row 3; dc in each dc across. ch 3 turn.

Row 4; dc indc just made (increase made) *dc  in next 2 dc's, 2 dc's in next dc. repeat from * across ch 3 turn.

Row 5: dc in next dc, and in each dc across.. sl st in 3rd ch of turning ch 3 and join to close opening; (right side of skirt)  you willl be working in rounds now .

Rnd 6; Working in back loops only now,ch 3 for 1st dc. dc in each dc around (back  loops only ) sl st  in 3rd st. of beg ch 3 to join.

Rnd 7: ch 3 (first dc) dc in joining (increase made) *dc in next 2 dc's, 2 dc's in next dc. repeat from * around. join by sl st.  in 3rd st of beg ch 3..

Rnd 8,9,&10 ; ch 3 for first dc. dc in each dc around.join in 3rd ch of bgn. ch3.

Rnd11; work rnds in back loops only. ch3 for 1st dc. dc in joining (increase made) * dc in next dc 2 dc's in next dc. repeat from* around. sl st in 3rd st of ch 3 to join.

Rnd 12 & 13; ch 3 for first dc. dc in each dc around. sl st in 3rd st of bgn ch3

Rnd 14. repeat rnd 11

Rnd 15 & 16: repeat rnd 12;

Rnd 17: working in back loops only ch3, dc in each dc around. sl st in 3rd ch of ch 3 to join.

Rnd 18; repeat rnd12.

Rnd 19; working in back loops only ch 3 for first dc, dc in joining ( increase made)*dc in next 3 dc's 2 dc's in next dc. repeat from * around. sl st in 3rd ch of bgn ch3 to join.

Rnd 20 & 21: ch 3 dc in next dc and in each dc around. join and finish off. weave in ends

RUFFLES  are worked in rnds 6, 11, 14, 17  &19  ( IN FRONT  UNUSED LOOPS ONLY)

Ruffle #1

with color B Rnd 1;  sl st in first sc at back center st on rnd 6.* ch 3 sk 1 dc, sc in next dc. repeat from * around  ending with ch 1 dc in first sc to join.

Rnd 2;  sc in first sp, picot, sc. * 2 sc in next loop picot sc.repeat from * around sc in first sp made. slp st in first sc of rnd to join finish.

 RUFFLE #2;

Rnd 1:  sc in last st on row 11 (front loops only)  *ch 4,skp 1 dc. sc in next dc. repeat from * ending with ch1 dc in bgn sc to join.

 Rnd 2; ch1 sc in space.* ch 5 sc in next loop. repeat from* around,join with ch 2 and dc in bgn sc.

 Rnd 3; 2 sc 's in space just made.* in next loop,  2 sc's picot 2sc's.  repeat from * around.  ending , 2 sc's picot sl st in first sc finish off.

 Ruffle # 3; 

 

with color A,  join in center back st.of row 14 with sl st. ch 1 sc. ch 3 sc. in next dc.* ch 3, sk 1 dc, sc in next dc. repeat from* around ending with ch 1 dc in first sc.

 Rnd 2; sc in loop just made.* ch 3 sc in next loop , repeat from* around, ending  ch 1 dc in first sc.

 Rnd 3. sc in loop just made,* in next loop 2 sc  picot  1 sc. repeat from * around ending 2 sc in last loop picot sl st in next sc.finish off.

 Ruffle # 4 ;

RND1; join in 1st st in row 17 of skirt. sc in same st. * ch 4 skp 2 dc's and sc in next dc.  repeat from * around.

 join with ch2, dc in first dc

Rnd 2. sc in first space. *ch 5, sc in next loop. repeat from * around. ending with ch3, dc in 1st stitch made.

Rnd 3; 2 sc in loop just made,*2 sc in next loop, picot and 2 sc. repeat from * around sl st in bgn loop, 2 sc, picot, join in sc and finish off.

RUFFLE # 5;

 

Rnd; 1;  join in row 19 with sl st in first sc ( front loops only) sc in same st. *ch 3 skp 1 dc. sc in next dc. repeat from *  around  join with ch 1 dc in first sc.

Rnd * 2; sc in first sp. * ch 4 sc in next loop. repeat from * around ending with ch 1, dc in bgn. sc.

Rnd 3; 2 sc's in loop just made. * 2  sc in next loop picot, 2 sc's . repeat from * around. sl st in bgn loop, sc picot sl st in beg sc, finish off.

Trim for top of bodice 

With color B and top facing you, join thread on right side of the bodice with a sl st. Sc in same ps as sl st. *ch 3, sc in next st, repeat from * across to center ( 20 sts) Make a long stitch to center of row below, continue sc, ch 3, in each st to end of row, faster off and weave in the  ends.

Hat: ch 6, join to form a circle, ch 1, 10 sc in circle, join in first sc.

Row 1: ch 2, 2 hdc in each st around, join in first hdc ( 20 sts)

Row 2: ch 3, dc in same sp as ch 3, * 1dc in next hdc, 2 dc in next hdc, repeat from * around, join in ch 3.

Row 3: ch 3, dc in base of ch 3, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * around, join in ch 3.

Row  4: ch 3, 1 dc in base of ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join in first ch 3.

Row 5: with color A, join in first ch on row 4 with sl st. Sc in next 2dc, ch 3 st in base of ch 3

 ( picot stitch made)    * sc in next 3 sc's, picot, repeat from * around, join and fasten off. Weave in the ends.

 

Purse for Barbie:

Row 1: with color a thread, ch 10, turn ch 3.

Row 2: dc in each ch across, turn, ch 3.

Rows 3 to 6: repeat row 2.

Row 7: sc ine ach st across, turn, ch 3.

Rows 8 to 12: dc in each st across, ch 3, turn. Fasten off.

Fold purse in half, join color b at bottom in row 7 through both half's. sc in each st to top of purse, ch 12, skip opening stitches, join on other side of purse with sc in top side st. (for handle), sc donw side of purse, through both stitches, join in row 7 and finish off. Weave in all ends.

To finish the back closing, you may sew on 3 or 4 snaps or buttons or use Velcro.
