American threads Puritan mercerized crochet cotton, article 40 or
"De Luxe" quality mercerized crochet cotton article 346
1 ball each shaded nile greens and white, or colors of your choice.
Steel crochet hook No. 7
Approx 9 inches
With shaded greens, chain 2, 8 sc in 2nd stitch from hook, join in 1 st sc.
Rd 2 ch 3, dc in same sp, *ch 2, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * 6x, ch 2, join in 3rd st of ch.
Rd 3 ch 3, dc in next dc, * ch 4, 1 dc in each of the next 2dc, repeat from * all around, ch4, join.
Rd 4 ch 3, dc in next dc, * ch3, dc in next loop, ch3, 1 dc in each of the next 2dc, repeat from * all around ending with ch 3, dc in next loop, ch 3, join.
Rd 5 ch 1, sc in same place, sc in next dc,* 3sc in next loop, sc in next dc, 3 sc in next loop, 1 sc in each of the next 2dc, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, join in 1st sc, cut thread.
Rd 6 attach white in same sp, ch 3, dc in next sc, *ch 3, skip 3 sc, 1 dc in each of next 2 sc, ch 3, skip 2 sc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, repeat from * all around, ch 3, join.
Rd 7 ch3, dc in same sp, dc in next dc, *ch3, 2dc in next dc, dc in next dc, repeat from *all around, ch3, join.
Rd 8 ch 3, dc in same sp, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, * ch 2, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, repeat from * all around, ch 2, join.
Rd 9 ch3, 1 dc in each of the next 4dc, * ch2, 1dc in each of the next 5dc, repeat from * all around, ch 2, join.
Rd 10 ch 3, dc in same sp, 1dc in each of the next 3dc, 2dc in next dc, * ch1, 2 dc in next dc, 1dc in each of the next 3dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat form * all around, ch1, join.
Rd 11 ch 3, 1 dc in each dc and 1dc in each ch 1 sp, join, cut thread.
Rd 12 attach shaded greens in dc over the ch1 sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, * ch4, skip 3 dc, 2dc in next dc, repeat from * all around, ch4, join.
Rd 13 ch3, dc in next dc, * ch5, 1dc in each of the next 2dc keeping last loop of each dc on hook, thread over and work off all loops at one time (dc joining) , ch 5, 1dc in each of the next 2dc, repeat from * all around ending with ch 5, dc joining in next 2dc, ch 5, join in 3rd of ch.
Rd 14 ch3, dc in next dc, * ch3, 3sc over next loop, sc in next dc joining, 3sc over next loop, ch 3, 1dc in each of the next 2 dc, repeat from * all around, ending to correspond, ch 3, join.

I am not understanding the directions for Rd 6 . It says to sk 2 sc, 1dc in each of the next 2 sc. It seems like I have too many dc groups then. Should I be skipping 3 sc , instead of 2?
