Nina's Pineapple doily #1 Part 1

There has been people emailing me asking for this pattern. It has been tested by my exchange leaders. I hope you enjoy it. This pattern is not for beginners

19 inches

Appx 450 Yards Americans Best Country Cotton Article 74P # 1 white
Size 10 thread  size 7 hook

Stitches used:
FPDC = Front Post Double Crochet Stitch
Beg cluster  = (beginning cluster) working in stitch indicated, ch 3, holding back last loop of each dc, make 2 more dc in indicated stitch, yo and pull through all 3 loops on hook.
3dc cluster = (yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thro 2 loops, (2 loops on hook) yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thro 2 loops, (3 loops on hook)  yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thro 2 loops, (4 loops on hook)yo,  pull through all loops on hook, cluster made)
V-st = (dc, ch 2, dc) in same place
Shell = (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same place

Ch 8, join with slip stitch to form ring.

Rd 1: ch3, (counts as 1 dc) 19 dc in ring, join with slip stitch. (20 dc)

Rd 2: ch 3, * 1 FPDC around next dc, 1 dc in next dc, repeat from * around, join.( 10 posts, 10 dc)

Rd 3: ch 4, * 1 FPDC around next post, ch 1, 1 dc in next dc, ch 1, repeat from * around, join to 3rd ch of beg. Ch 4.

Rd 4: ch 3,  work beg cluster stitch, ch 1, * 1FPDC around next post, ch 1, in next dc work 1 cluster stitch,  ch 1, repeat from * around,  end, ch 1, join to top of beg. Cluster stitch.

Rd 5: ch 5, 1 dc in same place, ch 1, *1FPDC around next post, ch 1, 1 dc in top of cluster, ch 2, 1 dc in same same ( V Stitch Made ), ch 1, repeat from * around, end, ch 1,  join with slip stitch to 3 rd chain of beg. ch 5, slip stitch over to next 2 ch space.

Rd 6: ch 5, 1 dc in same place, ch 1,  * 2 FPDC around next post stitch, ch 1, in next dc work V Stitch, ch 1, repeat from * around, end ch 1, join to 3 rd chain of beg ch 5, slip stitch over to next 2 ch space.

Rd 7: ch 5, 1 dc in same ch 2 space, * ch2, 1 FPDC around next post, ch 1, 1 FPDC around next post, ch 2, in next 2 ch space, work V stitch, repeat from * around end ch 2, join with slip stitch to 3rd chain of ch 5, ,slip stitch over to next 2 ch space.

Rd 8: ch 5, 1 dc in same ch 2 space, * ch 2, 1 FPDC around next post, ch 2, 1 FPDC around next post, ch 2, V stitch in next V stitch, repeat from * around, ch 2, join with slip stitch to 3rd chain of ch 5, , slip stitch over to next 2 ch space.

Rd 9: ch 5, 1 dc in same ch 2 space, * ch 2, 2 FPDC around next post, ch 2, 2 FPDC around next post, ch 2, V stitch in next V stitch, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to 3 ch of ch 5, , slip stitch over to next 2 ch space.

Rd 10: ch 3, 1 dc same in ch 2 space, ch 2, 2 dc in same ch 2 space, * ch 2, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts,  ch 2, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, in next V stitch, work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc (shell made), repeat from * around, join to top of ch 3, slip stitch to center of shell.

Rd 11: ch 3, 1 dc in same space, ch 2, 2 dc in same place, *ch 2, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, 1 shell over shell,  repeat from * around, join to top of ch 3, slip stitch over to center of shell.

Rd 12: ch 3, 1 dc in same space, ch 2, 2 dc, in same place, *ch 2, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, shell over shell, repeat from * around, join as before.

Rd 13: ch 3, 1 dc in same space, ch 2, 2 dc, in same place, *ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, shell over shell , repeat from * around, join with slip stitch, slip stitch to center of first shell.

Rd 14: ch3, 1 dc in same space, ch 2, 2 dc, in same place, *ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch 3 space, ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, shell over shell , repeat from * around, join with slip stitch, slip stitch to center of first shell.

Rd 15: ch 3, 1 dc in same space, ch 2, 2 dc in same place, * ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, 1 sc in  ch 3 sp, ch 3, 1 sc in 3 ch sp, ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, shell over shell, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch, slip stitch to center of first shell.

Rd 16: ch 3, 1 dc in same space, ch 2, 2 dc in same place, * ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, skip first 3 ch space, in next 3 ch space, work 7 dc, ch 3, skip next 3 ch space, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch3, shell over shell, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch, slip stitch to center of first shell.

Rd 17:  ch 3, 1 dc in same space, ch 3, 2 dc in same place, * ch 3, 2 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, (1 dc, ch 1) in next 6 dc, 1 dc in next dc, ch 2, 2 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, in next shell work 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc, repeat form * around, join with slip stitch, slip stitch to center of first shell.

Rd 19: *ch 5, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, skip first ch 2, (1 sc in next 2 ch space, ch 2) 5 xs, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2,  1 FPDC around each of  next 2 posts, ch 5, 1sc in center of next shell, repeat from * around to last 2 posts, 1 FPDC around last 2 posts, ch 3, 1 sc in center of first sc.

Rd 20:  * ch 4, 1 FPDC in next 2 posts, ch 3, 1FPDC around each of  next 2 posts, ch 2, skip ch 2, (1 sc in next ch 2 sp, ch 2) 4 x, ch 2, 1FPDC around each of  next 2 posts, ch 3, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 4, sc in top of sc, repeat from * around, end join to center of first sc.

Rd 21: ch 3, * 1 FPDC in each of  next 2 posts, ch 4, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, (1sc in first ch 2 space, ch 2) 3 x, ch 2, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 4, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, repeat from * around, end join to first sc.

Rd 22: ch 2, *1FPDC around each of  next 2 posts, ch 5, 1 FPDC around each of next 2 posts, ch 2, (1 sc in first ch 2 space, ch 2) 2x, ch 2, 1 FPDC in each of  next 2 posts, ch 5, 1 FPDC around next 2 posts, ch 2, 1 sc in next sc, repeat from * around, join to first sc.

Hello ! I am crocheting this beatiful and at row 18 I can`t understand wich 4 spots I am supposed to make FPDC around ? Can you please help ?

The FPDC began on row 2. It is these same posts you would continue working on.

It days 19 inches right before the pattern starts. I thought that was the finished size. I may have to use a larger size crochet hook.
