March 2018 Stitch of the Month Knit

March 2018 Stitch of the Month Knit

Cable This pattern is worked over 10 stitches.

For this cable stitch I used it on a background of 2 purl stitches on each side, for a total of 10 stitches and held the cable needle in front (left), the one on the right shows a cable stitch but with the cable needle held at the back like I did for the beginner's cabled scarf (http://ninasatmyhouse.blogspot.com/2015/09/beginners-cabled-scarf-pattern-update.html)

Row 1: k2, p 6, kv 2
Row 2: p 2, k 6, p 2
Row 3: k 2, p 6, k 2
Row 4: p 2, k 6, p 2
Row 5: k 2, p 6, k 2
Row 6: p 2, slip 3 stitches to the cable needle and hold at front of work, K 3, then knit the 3 stitches from the cable needle, p 2

Repeat rows 1 to 6 for length of cable
