Materials:
3.5oz yellow, small amount orange small amount black (I
used Red Heart Sport weight)
Crochet hook size H
This pattern is made
from the top down, and fits a 25 oz dish detergent bottle. For a smaller bottle
simply decrease number of rows.
Head: With Yellow, ch
20, sl st to beg ch.
Row 1: ch 2 *dc in next 5 ch, 2 dc in next ch* Repeat from * to * 3 x's ending dc in next 2 ch, sl st to ch 2.
Row 2: ch 2 * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat form * to * 6 x's sl st to ch 2.
Row 3 – 4: ch 2 dc in ea dc around, sl st to ch 2.
Row 5: ch 2*dc in next 5 dc, dc dec* repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, sl st to ch 2.
Torso and body:
Row 6: ch 2 *dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * repeat from * to * 4 x's ending dc in next 3 dc, sl st to ch 2.
Row 7-17: repeat row 3
Eyes: (make 2)
With black,8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to first sc finish off, leaving 1 inch tail at both ends. Using tails tie to post of dc on 2nd row of head.
Ears: (make 2)
Ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in ea ch across, *ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across , sc dec at, end,* rep from * to * until one sc on hook. Finish off and tie in place on top of head.
Arms: (make 2)
Ch 15, sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in ea ch across, *ch 1 turn, sc in ea sc across , sc dec at, end,* rep from * to * until one sc on hook. Finish off and tie in place on sides.use another pieceof yarn to stitch middle together.
Beak: with orange, ch
3, work 5 dc in 3rd ch from hook, finish off.
