1 Wild Plum colored
hand towel, cut in half and hemmed
2- 1 1/8” buttons G Hook
Stitches Used: Single
crochet, Double crochet, Slip
stitch
Rw 1 With white, ch 9 to form ring.
Rw 2 Ch 1, 6 sc in ring,
turn. Do not join.
Rw 3-6 Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn.
Rw 7 Ch1, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc, repeat across row.
Turn (9 sc)
Rw 8-15, Ch 1, sc across row, turn.
Rw 16 Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc across row. Turn (18 sc)
Rw 17-18, Ch 1, 1 sc in each sc across row. Turn
Row 19 Ch 2, 2dc in same place,*ch 1, sk 1 sc, 2 dc. ch 2, 2 dc in
same sc, (shell made), ch 1, sk 1 sc, 3 dc in next sc.* Repeat from * to *
across row, ending with sk 1 sc, 2 dc in next sc, 1 dc in last sc. Turn. (5
groups of 3 dc & 4 shells)
Row 20 Ch 2, sk first dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc,* ch 1, shell over
shell, ch 1, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc group.* Repeat from * to *. Turn.
Rw 21-24 Repeat row 20. At
end of row 24, fasten off white, attach strawberry cream.
Rw 25 Repeat row 20. Do not
turn. Ch 1, 2 sc in corner, sc up side of
topper, sc around unworked part of beg ch 9, sc down other side of
topper, work sc in each stitch across bottom of topper, slip stitch to beg of
row 25. Fasten off, weave ends in. Sew button to middle of row 18. Hand sew towel
topper to hemmed end of hand towel, leaving strawberry shells free.
Repeat for second towel.
