Vertical openwork stitch 1

Multiples of 6 + 3

For sample cast on 21 ( 6 x 3 = 18 + 3 = 21)

Row 1: *p 3, yo, sl 1, k 2 tog, psso, yo, * p 3.

Row 2: k 3, * p3, k3 *

Repeat rows 1 and 2 for desired length. This is another one that I liked both sides.

Country Gardens Dish soap Bottle Apron

Materials:
1 ball each Cream #3  Country Garden #167 Peaches & Crème by Elmore-Pisgah, Inc.
1 G hook

Rw 1 Ch 9, 1 sc in 2nd from hook, 1 sc in each ch across. Turn (8sc)

Rw 2-5  Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn

Rw 6   ch 2, 1 dc in same place, 2 dc in each sc across row. Turn. (Ch 2 counts as 1 dc, 16 dc)

Rw 7 (front) Ch 2, 1 FPS around post of next dc, 1dc in next dc, FPS around next dc across. Turn. (7 posts & 8dc).

Rw 8 (back) Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 2 dc, BPS around next post stitch across. End 1 dc in beg. ch 2 of  row below. Turn. ( 7 post & 14 dc.)

Rw 9  Ch 2, FPS around next post stitch, 3 dc, FPS around next post stitch across. End 1 dc in ch 2 of row below. Turn. (7 posts & 20 dc. 3 dc between posts)

Rw 10 Ch 2, BPS around next post stitch, 4 dc, BPS around next post. End 1 dc in ch 2 of row below. Fasten off cream.  (7 posts & 26 dc.)

Rw 11, With right side facing you, attach Country Gardens to the start of beg ch 8 of row 1 (top of apron) and sc across the row, 3 sc in corner stitch, working down the side, sc along the side. Work along row 10, work 1 sc in first dc, 5 dc in first post stitch, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, 5 dc in next post stitch, across row 10, 1 sc in last stitch of row 10. Working along other side of the apron, sc across, slip stitch to beg of row 10, do NOT fasten off, Chain 15, (neck piece of apron) slip stitch to beg  of row 11. Fasten off. Weave in yarn.  Attach Country Gardens to row 5 and chain 30 for tie, fasten off. Repeat for other side of apron.

The Crescents

Worked over an even number of stitches.

For sample, chain 16

Set up row: 1sc in second chain from hook, and in each chain across row.



Row 1: 1 ch, sc to end of row.

Row 2 and following rows: 1 ch, * 1 sc in next sc,  1 sc insert hook into the base of sc of previous row *.  Repeat from * to * across row.

Repeat row 2 until desired length.

Another one for Charity, and this one seems to be the best one, as I get a lot of requests for it, its also one of my favorites. 

Materials: 
Red Heart Sport Weight 3 ply yarn:
1 Skein Red
1/2 Skein Blue
1/2 Skein Green
1/2 Skein Yellow
1/2 Skein Orange
circular knitting needles in sizes 5 and  7 
1 pair double pointed needles size 7 
Row counter

Read all directions first. 
With red cast on 108 stitches, being careful not to twist stitches,
join. 
Rds 1 to 10: Knit 1, Purl 1. At the end of round 10, change to size
 7 needles 
Rds 11: knit

Now start chart rows 1 to 36

Rd 37: decease 12 stitches evenly around.

Continue with chart to round 42
Rd 43: knit with red.
Rd 44: K 2 tog
Rd 45: knit
Rd 46: K 2 tog, Run needle thru remaining stitches, draw up tight,

B = Blue    Y = Yellow    G = Green    O = Orange    Blank = Red
