Amy's Scarf

This is a pattern I made for my daughter. With only a two row repeat, it's simple and works up fast into a beautiful scarf. You can make it longer by just keep repeating the two rows.
 

Materials:
Size G Hook
1 ball of Lion brand baby soft

Stitches used:

Single crochet
Double crochet
Double Front Post            Back Post     






Chain 32
Row 1: 1 dc in 4th chain from hook, and in next chain, skip 3 ch, in next chain work 3 dc, ch 3, sc in top of last dc made, 3 dc for a picot shell, * skip 3 ch, 1 dc in next ch, skip ch 3, 1 picot shell in next ch, repeat from * across row, end 1dc in each of last 3 chains, ch 3, turn.

Row 2: 1 bps ard next 2 dc, ch 2 * Skip 2 dc of first picot shell, * 1 sc in dc before picot, ch 5, 1 sc in next dc after picot, ch 2,, 1 sc in single dc, ch 2, repeat from * across, end ch 2, 1 bps ard next 2 dc, 1 dc in top of turning­ ch, ch 3, turn.

Row 3: 1 FPS ard next 2 bps, * 1 picot shell in ch-5 loop, 1 DFPS around dc of row 2, repeat from * across, end 1 FPS ard last 2 dc in 3rd ch st of turning-ch, ch 3, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 for pattern for 3 feet. Fasten off.

With front facing you, reattach yarn to starting chain at right side, ch 3.  1FPS around next 2 dc, * Picot Shell over picot shell, 1 DFPS around next dc, repeat from * once, shell over shell, 1FPS around next two dc, 1dc in next dc. Ch 3, turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 for 3 feet, fasten off, weave in the yarn, and the scarf is now finished.

About 46 inches long

 Stitches used:
Single crochet = sc
Double Crochet = dc
Treble crochet  =  TB  Yo, twice, insert hook in stitch, yo, (draw through, yo, draw through 2 lps,) 3 times.
Double Font Post Stitch  = DFPS Working in front row just make, yo 2x, inset hook from front to back and front again around the vertical post of stitch below,  yo (four  loops on hook) and draw thread through two loops on hook, yo, draw through two loops on hook, yo, draw through two loops on hook. One loop remains. 

With H hook and both yarns held together, ch 27,

Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd chain from hook, and in each chain across row, ch 1, turn

Rows 2 to 5: sc in each sc, ch 1, turn. After row 5, fasten off eyelash, change to G hook and ch 3, turn.

Materials: Size G crochet hook, 
Red Heart worsted Weight Yarn (any color) (I used Red Heart Super Saver in Dark Orchid)



Chain 30

Row 1: 1 sc in 5th chain from hook, *ch 5, skip 3 ch, 1 sc in next chain, repeat from * across row, chain 3, turn.

Row 2: 2 dc in first sp, work 2dc, ch 2, 2 dc ( shell made) in each sp, end with 3 dc in last sp, ch 5, turn.

Row 3: 1 dc in base of ch 5, * ch 2; work 1 dc, ch1, 1 dc in ch 2 sp of shell, repeat from * across, end with 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in top of turning ch, ch 3, turn.

Row 4: 2 dc in first ch 1 sp, * in next ch 1 sp work  2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc (shell made) *, repeat from * across, end with 3 dc in last sp, ch 5, turn.

Repeat rows 3 & 4 for a total of 34 shell repeats. Do not turn, ch 1.

Row 1: 1 sc evenly around, placing 3 sc crochet in each corner, sl st to join, do not turn, ch 1.

Row 2: 1 sc in each sc around, placing 3 sc in each corner, sl st to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.

*For longer scarf Repeat rows 3 & 4 to desired length, ending with a row 4.

Materials

2 balls cotton in two different colors

H hook

Chain 29

Set up wow: Work (1 sc, ch 2, 1 sc) in 3rd ch from hook, *skip next 2 ch, (1 sc, ch 2, 1 sc) in next ch, repeat from * across, ending with 1 hdc in last ch,  ch 3 turn.

Row 1: *3 dc in next ch-2 space (shell made), rep from * across, ending with 1 dc in top of turning ch, ch 2, turn.(counts as first hdc)

Row 2: * (1 sc, ch 2, 1 sc) in 2nd dc of next shell, rep from * across, ending with 1 hdc in top of turning ch,  ch 3, turn.

Repeat rows 1-2 for a total of six times. Then repeat row 1 again. Fasten off main, attach 2nd color in any corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same corner space. 1 sc evenly space around cloth, placing 3 sc in each corner. Join. Ch 3, 3 dc in same corner space, work 1 dc in each sc around cloth, placing 3 dc in each corner, join. Fasten off.

Stitches used:
FPDC = Front Post Double Crochet Stitch
Beg cluster  = (beginning cluster) working in stitch indicated, ch 3, holding back last loop of each dc, make 2 more dc in indicated stitch, yo and pull through all 3 loops on hook.
3dc cluster = (yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thro 2 loops, (2 loops on hook) yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thro 2 loops, (3 loops on hook)  yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thro 2 loops, (4 loops on hook)yo,  pull through all loops on hook, cluster made)
V-st = (dc, ch 2, dc) in same place
Shell = (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same place
