This is a place for my knitting, sewing, crochet designs and projects. I have been knitting since I was 4, and crocheting since age 19 and I have starting weaving again, along with sewing. So this is where I will be posting those patterns too.

September 2023 Stitch of the Month Crochet
The Ridge (rib) Stitch
This stitch is used mostly for afghans, but you can also use it for potholders, hot mats, and using thread, even doilies. You can use any type of yarn, for example, if you wanted to make a baby afghan, just use baby or sport weight yarn. You can make it all one color, or several colors.
This is worked on any number of stitches, just measure the area you want an afghan for, and chain that length.
For sample, chain 75.
Starting row:
Sk 1 ch, Sc in each Sc across. Ch 1, turn.
All rows:
Working in back loops ONLY, sc in each sc across row. Ch 1, turn.
You can change colors at the end of each row, and
leave a long tail, then after several
rows, tie or knot two or three tails together. Or
using the same color, do three rows, and
tie these together. (If you are making this for a
baby, I wouldn't leave a tail at the
end,
their fingers could get tangled up in them.)
Summer night gown, long to the floor and mid length sleeves for chilly summer nights. I have sewn roses on the top and the skirt. All fabrics from JoAnn's.

Since this is a test pattern, I'm going to be changing
things in it when I do the actual pattern, as I found out I don't like the way
some things are looking. But below is a picture of what I've done so
far
March 2025
I decided to make another ski hat, I'm going to use eyelash
yarns, a fluffy white yarn, and regular colors to make it. I'm going to put a
lighthouse in it on a brown and green grassy hill with birds and clouds in the
sky. Below is a picture of the start of this, I have all the yarns and the
needles and just need to work out the details on the pattern and write it
out because I drew it out first, the colors are brighter in the picture.
I will up date you as I go.
I've started knitting on the Light House Ski hat following the pattern and chart that I made, I've worked the grass, the hill and part of the lighthouse with some birds and clouds in it. I still have a lot go and there are a lot of threads I have to carry along behind the hat and will have to work them in when done.
Here I have worked of my pattern, but I am starting to not
like the way it’s turning out, I think it has just too much in it. To me it looks like an old woman dancing.
Lol.
Below is the finished hat but I really don’t like it.
And it still looks like an old woman dancing, and I still
don’t like it, so I have started another one with a lot of changes to my
pattern.
