Amy's Hi-Low Crochet
Scarf@2004 By N.L. Banks
Another pattern for you, this time its a scarf I made for my daughter Amy. It is easy to crochet, so I hope you like it. I made this using worsted weight yarn, but if you use a thicker yarn, it will be warmer, wider and longer.
Materials:
J hook
2 skeins 100% Acrylic yarn in
any color (7 oz). A light color will show the stitches better. I used a
Fisherman color, (cream)
Note: Work all following rows thru back loops only.
With the J hook, chain 26.
Row 1: Sl st in
2nd ch from hook and in each of next 4 ch, * 1 hdc in each of next 5 ch, Slip
st in each of next 5 ch; rep from * to end, Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Work
Slip st over each Slip st, hdc over each hdc. Ch 2, turn.
Row 3: Work hdc over each Slip st, sl st over
each hdc. Ch 2, turn.
Row 4: Work hdc over each hdc, slip st over each
Slip st, ending ch 1, turn.
Row 5: Work sl st over each hdc, hdc over each slip st, Ch 1, turn.
Row 6: Work slip st over each slip st, hdc over
each hdc. Ch 2, turn.
Repeat last 4
rows for pattern. Work, following pattern until you have no yarn left.
This will make a nice long scarf.
