Kerchief


November 2003 Pattern of the Month        Kerchief @2003 by N.L. Banks

This pattern was done a long time ago, and the yarn is not made anymore. You can use cotton or another type of yarn.

1 ball # 49 Cherry
     
1 ball # 111 Tiffany Ombre
    
F crochet hook


Ch 7, 3 dc in 4th ch from hook, skip 3 ch, 1sc in last chain, turn.

Row 1: ch 3, 3dc in same place, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in ch 3 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same place 3 ch space, turn.

Row 2: ch 3, 3 dc in same place, skip 3 dc * 1 sc in 3 ch sp, ch 3, 3 dc in  3 ch space, repeat from *, turn.

 Repeat row 2 until you have 16 rows if you are using 4 ply worsted weight yarn, or until it is the size you want. Fasten off.

Row 15: attach second color, work as row 2 across row, do not turn, * ch 40, 1 sc in 2nd from hook, 1 sc across chain *, sc around both sides of kerchief, repeat from * to * for other tie. Fasten off.
